Jumped in my JTM yesterday, with pants that had a zipper on the back pocket, and that zipper handle thingy took a small chunk out of my seat. It might be about the size of a pencil eraser.

back in the day, there used to be ppl/shops that would repair leather seats and make it invisible. I don’t know how they did it, but I don’t think they took the cover off/out. What should I look for, if 1) I pay someone to do it, or 2) I do it myself?

There are a lot of do it yourself kits for vinyl/leather repair, but I never found one that would do an invisible repair like a professional can blending in the color. You can look on the web for local repair shops (usually mobile) or just ask your dealer. They all use them for fixing small tears in their used vehicles.

I used super glue on an arm rest a few years back on my wifes car, it's still holding up. My goal was more to keep it from ripping any further. Just throwing it out there, not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe you would be ok with it if you didn't care that much and just wanted to make sure the tear doesn't get worse.

Just go on one of the many discount Mopar part sites and buy a new cover. You might be surprised how reasonable they are. OEM Chrysler leather seat bottom was under $300 shipped for my wife’s car.

An upholstery shop can replace just the damaged panel as long as they can source matching material.

It's not a very expensive repair either.
