Received my skid plate LED today. Installation was very easy. Fitment is fine with my rigged ridge HD bumper, however I do have some concerns that the bumper hangs low enough to partially block some of the LEDs. I will need to wait until tonight to test.

can you take some closer pics? I’m installing this bumper later in the week and am readily tempted on this skid plate.

I installed mine today and every time I hit the switch, it blows the fuse. Any idea why? The wires are hooked up correctly and there is no fray’s or anything in the wiring
Sorry to hear this! Sending you a PM

Don't miss out on the Groupbuy going on now!
Do you have a picture with the yellow skid plate LEDs and your amber pre-runner LEDs both illuminated to see the contrast between the two colors? I would like to do both but if the colors are too far off I may just opt for white LEDs on the skid plate.

I can confirm that they are 2 completely colors serving 2 completely different functions, they are not intended to match. The Amber light is a marker light compliant with FMVSS regulation and the yellow light is a hue optimized to provide better visibility in fog and snow.

How far are the light lenses recessed into the skid? Looks like a road and trail rock magnet?
also I may have missed it but what’s the total amperage draw?

Installing mine tomorrow.

Would be nice if they came with a cover! That way you can minimize exposure to road damage until in use. Looked around but nothing seems to fit...

@ORACLElights do you have any pics up close of the rugged ridge hd bumper with your skid? I am worried it might cover part of the lights.
Here is a close-up with a Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper. Works fine with this setup but all aftermarket bumpers are going to be different.

They are flush with the plate steel. Amp draw is: 6A @12V DC

These are hardened PMMA lenses, normal road exposure is not going to do any "damage" to them.

I was looking for the RR HD Stubby or Full width, both have a little tab that hangs down and may cover the lights.

I see what you mean, its angled back though so it would not cut off much usable light (the light focused on the road where you need it).

After spending a week plus at the King of the Hammers and seeing how well yellow cuts through crazy amounts of dust I no longer have an excuse not to order one. I'll like to order 1 or 2 'spare' LEDs in case of damage (I've found if I have the part sitting on the shelf, that part never fails, breaks, or is damaged). Is there a part number to order 'spares' (yellow in my case)? I understand if with this being so new there might not be extra LEDs available now as they might all be assigned for production.

Awesome, THANKS,
I certainly think that with the color and very low mounting this will be the hot tip for dust along with fog and snow. It is great you bring out such innovating products. :like:

I'm guessing it is too late to get in on the prebuy discount ?
The groupbuy is over, but you can always use code forum10 for a 10% discount sitewide.
