Most of us don't even have that panel in our Gladiators, so it might take awhile.
Sorry, I don't have info to help you but how do you like those retractable rachet straps?Has anyone thought of using this area for air? (that plastic blank - the later Ram trucks have the same thing)
I was wondering about making a plate to fit that and use it for air fittings and perhaps electric (12v) outlets instead of the smaller, lower panel on the right side.
I'd like to have air for many reasons- air mattress, tires, cleanup, whatever.
I don't off-road enough to spend money on a fancy twin turbocharged air compressor capable of 150cfm at 100 psi, if it takes 10 - 15 minutes to air up 4 tires, so be it.
Looking for ideas between the plastic discount store compressors and the higher end things, something that stays put, can be powered through a aux switch even if with another relay, and maybe fits into this area???
Not to speak for Bill, but man those straps would be such a pain in the ass for most of my hauling. I'm unfortunately usually stack high and right against the bed sides / bed rails, overflowing over the tailgate, up to cab height, etc
No problem - I like them a lot. I recall the first time I used them my wife was with me and I strapped in some stuff we'd bought and her comment was "well, isn't that clever". LOL - wish I had thought of it first. They work fine, always handy, made for the JT bed wall.

I do Tetris my cases into the bed and other things and it makes it hard to reach down into the bed and work a ratchet. Those look really trick though if hauling larger items that have a touch more space around them.
I just saw something, a plastic lockable box that drops down into that area, and then the door is where that panel is. NOT sure what truck it was for, probably a Tacoma, BUT the idea is there, a drop in compartment, deeper to use all the space. Not sure how close that panel is to the outer bedside though. Looks tight... so maybe just for the electronics or switches for your compressor? I'm putting a twin ARB under my driver side fender, then using my 4xe charge door as the coupling area. Been slow going, still piecing it together. I had to swap over to a Rubicon hood set up just to make it THIS far.
I have a few parts designed and about to be tested. It is only about 70mm deep so not much space to try and fit a compartment after I worked with it some.
