Well last week I drove up to get my new addition.. she's 1 year old in a few days. In some ways it's better that I waited, she's been around multiple other dogs and people so she use to being around both. But a surprise part of being very timid about cats. It didn't help right after driving home about 5 hours. Shocker of multiple cats converging on my Gladiator then a hail storm hit.

So a semi traumatized Belgian malinois is home. Second vet visit this morning, she good in my Gladiator. And she rides on 4 wheeler also after getting a cut on paw.

She’ll get used to the cats. Both of my pups have. My smallest cat likes to sneak up on my Doby and pop him on the rump and run away. Then 5 minutes later she’s trying to snuggle with him.

It's been interesting, one walked in and past her hopped up to be petted. Another one has let her sniff her but hisses at her other times and or runs. Of course the expected reaction then. Main problem is all the dogs around my area chases and kills cats or anything else. The next doors pit bulls started after my dog day before while I was talking her. . . I was thinking this is going to be a bad one me shooting her out of control pit's in front of her. My dog in my yard at the time.

Opened the garage door for the feral cat to get some fresh air today. This is an experiment to see if we are his forever home or he still wants to roam. This is about 3 hours after we opened the garage door and he still came to sit in my lap. Good signs. I present Happy Whooby.

Sorry for your loss, had a similar scenario with my yellow lab a few years back. Sucks so bad and still miss him terribly.
