Thanks. I could have just looked under my truck, huh ? 😂 Sometimes I can’t right then for whatever reason. But yeah, F that with the shock body upside down for multiple reasons.

On the JL Wrangler they are not upside down. With the way the rear shocks are mounted on the JK you would have to crawl under it to adjust them if the knob was on top.

I have the Falcon 3.3 SP2 shocks with Claytons 2.5" Overland + lift. I really like them. I had a Mustang prior so used to feeling bumps. It's not a Cadillac. Was just in Southern Utah last week and set them at Custom setting 2 for offroad and then on 5 for highway. Definitely can tell the difference. Feels very planted on the highway when doing high speed cornering. Softens things up when off-road. I recommend!

Hmm. When did you purchase them new? Given the previous comment from @fourfa I’m wondering which version they are. Could you tell me a little bit about the rest of your suspension setup, tires, and overall build? Leaking seals is a bummer. Were they warrantied or just needing a rebuild at this point? I’m not familiar with the standard warranty on these products. I’d imagine it’s not long.
In '21. They're SP2s and all was on the lighter setting. The hard setting is very stiff. I would use it if I planned to jump my Jeep, lol.
Teraflex wanted me to send them in for a teardown inspection starting at 75 bucks a pop not including shipping. I began looking at other options (check out SDI E-Cliks) but then got busy with other life things so now a set of rough countries are making do but I'm not currently blasting the trails either.

Front suspension consists of Skyjacker four and a half inch springs, 1 inch spacer, Mopar 2" lift LCAs combined with teraflex LCA drop and reinforcement brackets, and a synergy pitman arm brace. Also a rough country high lift front drive shaft. With this combo I don't have to sacrifice ride quality due to an acute control arm angle.
Rear suspension starts with EVO 4 and 1/2 in HD springs which are just a half inch longer plush spring. Three quarter inch drive shaft carrier bearing spacer, teraflex UCA relocation brackets to prevent pinion dive, and a track bar relocation bracket.
I've also relocated the lines going to the brakes to facilitate More travel.
The front springs are very firm which helps with the added weight of the diesel, winch, bumper, and as advertised the rear springs are very plush to compensate for the reduced weight out back. I don't go camping or carry a lot of weight except for the necessities for a solo day on the trail.
I feel it's a very well balanced system that maximizes off and on road performance and comfort.

If it's going to be muddy I put on 40 inch patagonia mto2s otherwise I'm running 37 in ko2s which are coming up on about 75,000 MI. Also have inch and a half wheel spacers all around for the look.
