Hey everyone. I'm new to Gladiator life after upgrading my Wrangler Sahara. I've got a 2024 Sport S with the max tow package for towing my camper. I'm looking to lift it with some 35s. I'm torn between the 2 inch Mopar kit with Fox shocks and the JKS 3 inch kit with Fox shocks. I'm concerned about taking it too high and affecting it's tow capabilities. Thoughts??

How much do you tow now? What purpose is the lift? Lifts "reduce" capacity, but nobody knows by how much.

Camper weight is 6500, even loaded with gear I'll be well under 7k. Lift for improving off road capability with the 35s.

You are very close to limits ....35s are going to effectively reduce your gearlling from 4.10. Given a 10% increase in tire diameter. Might not be a full 10% drop in tow rating but nothing with 3.73 gears is rated over 6k for that trailer weight

I personally think a lift and 35s would put you in unpleasant territory trying to drag that trailer without regearing at the very least.

Heck, if that trailer really does weigh what you say it does, I can't imagine its super fun to pull as is.

Thank you for this input. I don't want to lose the tow capability. It's not bad at all towing the camper right now. At about 65mph with the weight distribution kit it pulls well. You know it's they're but certainly not unsafe. I want the ability to off road like I did with my Wrangler. Maybe I'll be able to do so with just adding 35s to what I have without lifting it.

You can go wider not taller on tires and a spacer lift for clearance but mpg might still be affected

Not wanting to rain on your parade, only offering some experience-derived wisdom...

Having owned a JT for a number of years, I think your primary concern should be the lack of power you'll have to contend with the taller tires. With respect to towing, you'd certainly be looking at a regear if you want anything like you currently experience.

Mine is doggy with 5.13 gears and 37" tires, and I do not consider my truck capable of adequately towing anything

Couldn't you swap your fenders out for some aftermarket Rubicon high fenders? Then you could keep tour stock suspension setup and I believe you would fit 35's like a Rubicon can. I'm not 100% certain about this since I have a Rubicon.
Good luck either way.

Yes a Rubi can fit 35s with no lift.

What about a spacer lift? Would retain max tow springs and give height for 35s.

I do agree with others, 35s while towing that much weight is going to suck unless you regear.

Why not go 33's? Rubis come on 33s and are plenty capable off road. With 4.10s it should still tow and drive fine.

TereFlex 1.5 spacer Lift for front, Daystar rear .75in Spacer and AirLift 1000s. Rubicon Hilghline fenders wouldn't hurt. Regear for 35s.. MPGs will take a hit.
