All those extra lights? Is there a viable use for them? Other than being leader on a night ride or solo night riding, is there a good reason to put the money there, as opposed to, say, skids, bumpers or recovery tools?
Not really. I have a small farm so I light up areas to do stuff when it’s not blazing hot sometimes. Occasionally I use them on back roads. I had them from a previous truck so it was just the mount cost really this time.
If I was doing it from scratch- I would spend money on much different priorities.

My 1st option was to replace the Stock Headlights with Oracle 9" Headlights. They are about x50 times brighter than stock and well worth the cost to me ($700). Was told these are the brightest legal running lights you can have or very close to it; I'm betting very close to it.

When I purchased my JT in January this year, the front bumper had a winch and lightbar (9") included. After adding the Oracle 9" lights, they are so bright in just low beam running mode, you can not see a difference when you turn on the light bar.

It a waste down there now. Saving funds to replace bumper or move the lightbar to another jeep of mine.

Turns out that the lower light bar I have (bought used) is a OEDRO Light Bar; see attached link:
https://www.oedro.com/wrangler-led-light

These light bars go for $60. While they claim to push 20,000 Lumens, I am rethinking on replacing this with a RIGID or Rough Country Light Bar, as I suspect there would be a big difference and brighter

I have the quake hood mount with 50” rigid double row and 2 rigid pods on each side. No wind noise at all and sprayers still hit windshield.

Posted this response in the wrong area, sorry.

Being Father's Day coming up, I may get me the light bar on the hood.

Can you tell me what brand the cargo rack is and what light bar lights you have up there?

Rack is fab fours, all the lights are rigid industries. The rack has spots for 6 pod size lights. I used flush mount scene lights from rigid and drilled the mounting holes. Pod lights won’t require drilling. The front of the rack holds 2 lights. I used 2 rigid e series amber hyperspot lights.
Hood bar is 50” rigid radiance and 4 radiance pods. I’m about to switch the 50” for a combo 50” e series pro I got so it will double the output of the current set up.

I forgot there is a Light Bar Mount on the pipe above my front winch; going to put a Rigid Light Bar there; not sure if which type to put there, but I want it to be the brightest lumens; not buying for show or looks, but functionality.

A 20” e series would probably be the right size. It’s going to be very bright and sturdy. I’ve had my 20” bar from rigid for at least 4-5 years with no issues.
In the last 7-8 years, I had an issue with 1 rock light from rigid, they didn’t make the color I had anymore. Did that stop them?! No, they went above and beyond and replaced the other lights with a color they had in stock for my whole kit at no charge. I’m a rigid customer for life.

In 2015 I bought a 20" off-brand CREE light on AMZN. 120W flood/spot combo. Mounted it in the lower grille of my Expedition. Never had any problems with it. Worked great, helped by the s**ty lights the Expy had (it was '12, before LEDs). It covered the lowbeam distance and extended outward and upward. Turning on high beams, I could see where the light bar didn't quite reach.

Bought a bullbar and added more lights; 4" LED floods and spots. Nilights and no-name. Running through the Montana passes in the dead of winter in the middle of the night was awesome.

I originally had 2 Hella 500FF lights on there, but after 3 months the adhesive gave out and the glass popped out of the plastic body. So those got tossed.

Driving back from Jackson to W. Yellowstone at 11pm and being able to see a moose and her baby run across the road? Priceless.

I've lost some of the lights to unforeseen dips in the snow while chasing (figuratively) moose.

Never a problem with any of my lights, despite my crappy in-a-hurry wiring job.

On the JT I have 2 Auxbeam 7" out front with 2 4" Auxbeam floods at the windshield. Yellow out the back rack and some extra bed illumination. One day when I have time, the weather will cooperate, and I won't have to lay on the wet ground and install my rock lights.

Initial testing (driving home at night) shows the 7" lights are damn bright. They make the reflective speed limit signs blinding if you're not ready for it. :D

I'd love a bar on the hood hinges, but heard they pretty much all block the washer nozzles.
I had this problem with mine. I used a single row lighter and low profile mount. The washer sprays over top of all of it.

Quick questions on the hood lightbars and cube lights….how do they do with your rig staying outside and getting wet? Do the have a shorter life because of that or do they hold up pretty well?

All quality made light bars & cubes are sealed & waterproof. So, no worries there.
