I must have FORD on the brain. At first I read this thread as LIGHTNING advice.

I have the baja designs LP4 lights with amber backlight installed on my bumper. They’re much brighter than the high beams and highly recommend them. You can either mount them directly to a steel bumper if you have that or buy ring mounts to attach to the hoop. Also have removable amber protective covers for snow and dusty conditions.

Blast from the past but since Brutus resurrected it

i have the Rebel off-road fair lead bracket I’ll be attaching fog type lights to. Most likely 2 6ā€ fog bars by Diode dynamics on there and maybe a 10ā€ combo bar off the hoop.

I’ve always found cowl lighting needs to be more of a long throw ā€œdirectedā€ beam in order to not glare as much off the hood. Something with a flat lighting profile rather than a round or oval spot pattern.

Use a driving/combo or spot pattern on the A Pillars or risk glare from the Mojave hood. I have a pair of Baja Designs XL80 in driving lenses on some Artec cowl mounts, then a set of Rigid DSS Pro flood beam and Baja Designs S1 wide cornering lenses angled out on the bumper. Plenty of good throwing light and have amber lenses to snap in pending inclement weather.

On a grander scale, you may be able to do what I did.
This was a huge help. No glare on hood. My goal is to eventually have them made out of aluminum. They are now mounted with black pipe clamps. They work great and too many other projects, so the plastic has held up for about 2 years.

Black pipe clamps if they will fit.
