To feel special. They should only offer 419 of them, not 4190.

Reason of which part? 4190? Or Launch Edition. Seems most responses assume you mean the 4190, so I will go with that.

Reason is so that FCA only loses $24 per LE instead of $240 per LE (if only 419 were sold) to fund the $100,000 prize.;)

Realistically they're not losing anything, and it's a drop in the bucket for good PR. They're guaranteed almost $260 million in sales from LE alone.

Because they can fool all the impulse buyers into spending thousands more for a few badges, and not waiting on the cool colors Gobi/gator lol. I think the edition is pretty silly personally. Build your own loaded rubi, and save a few grand.

I totally agree with you. Perhaps people would have felt a tad more excited to get a LE truck if the tag on the back said: Number 1 of 4190, or 2 or 4189, or number 4190 of 4190 instead of them all saying the same thing: 1 of 4190.

That would have made some of the very first ones made or some of the very last ones made a tad more valuable when it comes time to think about selling them down the road, a little bit of history to them.

Do you think in 20 years the LE will be a collector?
With over 4000 made?
What is a future valuable collector that is made today?
If only we knew.

I wanna know the reason the area code is 419. I mean the origin story of that would be amazing. Not as amazing as plywood's origin story, but still neat.

FCA should have built and delivered ALL of the Launch Editions as 2019 1\2, then blocked all orders for 3 months, then took orders for 2020 models.

They should also have made the steel winch bumper and trail cam standard in Rubicon trim.

But they didn't, so there's that.

They must think there is enough pent up demand for the 4190 of them.
Well here it is 4 months later . . . hindsight working ? IT WAS A POORLY THOUGHT OUT IDEA, poorly executed, and ;created a shitload of discontent among the "Faithful" and a few trolls too ! Would "they" do it again ? Probably ! Question IS . . . will "you" fall for it . . . Again ? :brokenhearted: :headbang: :lipssealed:

I agree. Who ever in the Gladiator marketing should be let go! He/she has made a great thing disrespected and a laughing stock!
LE’s should have been built first. Made special yet now there is many waiting for them. Come on Jeep get it right!
