Does anyone here actually OWN a Wrangler 4xe?
Looking for real world experiences, first hand, not "I heard" or "it looks like.
Reliability?
Real-world fuel economy?
Battery life?
How far can travel on tank of fuel?

We owned one, past tense. You’re welcome to call me for details. I got raked over the coals the last time the discussion was brought up here. But I can share actual real world experience with a 2022 Sahara high altitude 4xE, fully loaded with advanced safety.

I joined the wrangler forum because I was curious about real word towing experience with the 4Xe. Not to mention that there’s also a lot of good general info too. I’m sure you could find your answers there.

LOL - the one I'm asking a dealer about is a loaded Sahara 4xe with the trail camera I wish my JT had and I know she'll never use in a million years.
I have to look at buying steps for whatever Wrangler we COULD or MAY get (nothing set in stone, still doing research, may drop the whole thing if we can't find a PERFECT match and make the money work)
Almost all I see have that darned 4 grand power roof - I'd rather take panels out or lift the whole roof off. That will never get used. She's never even opened the sun roof on her GC.

The 4xe has a 100,000 mile 80 month warranty on the high voltage batteries, etc.

All Wranglers are limited pretty low in towing, aren't they? 3500 pounds?

I warn you, the review I will provide is not glowing, but is also not in any way emotional. It was our 4th plug-in, so we have some experience in that area. We do now have a 5th plug-in, also a PHEV, as or compliment to the gladiator. We’re very happy with the PHEV concept, just not the 4xE execution.

Yes, I wasn’t aware of the 3500 max tow. I was surprised to find out that even the 392 is rated at 3500. I guess wheel base has something to do with it? I never really understood the logic behind the formula used for determining max tow. Funny thing is the 4xe is 3500 here and 5000lbs in Europe.

Brad is far more into off road camping though, so I think that should be mentioned. He thought it was great, just not for weekend off road trips - at least that's what I got from that video a few months ago.

That's weird - I wonder what the wheelbase of the JLU - a Wrangler 4 door 4xe is, compared to a Grand Cherokee Limited?
The GC has a tow rating of 6,200 pounds. Heck, that beats my Gladiator by 200 pounds! And the payload is better, too, if I am remembering correctly.

The only way it would ever be off road is if I stole it when she wasn't looking or she slid off a road with it. Her GC only sees gravel when she visits her cousin's family 40 minutes south of us and that's about 3 miles of gravel each way on the road in front of their farm. So maybe 4 times a year it sees 6 miles of gravel road - 24 miles total a year.
We're totally concerned with winter, and our wet seasons. (although this year, with the drought and all, we not only couldn't buy rain, we can't even get a decent deep snow)

What's interesting is that when I was asking my sales guy - who sold me both Gladiators, about Wranglers, he said "keep in mind towing would only be 3500 pounds" as he knew it was a concern with my truck. He knows stuff about what he sells.

That was exactly my point. I shoulda mentioned that. To Brad, it was a super cool option but just didnt work for his particular needs. Knowing you dont' do off road, but still want/need a Jeep, it probably would be a good fit. Especially with your use case. Just my assumption. But I didnt want the wrong impression to get across with that video from Brad, because his use case is very different.

I mean, if I had the extra money for a 3rd vehicle, honestly I would go buy one today. It would be an awesome grocery getter and errands runner, IMO

Although battery longevity is a question, and cold operation too as you mentioned. Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread lol
