I like my factory rock rails and want to keep them. Unfortunately, I can't find simple steps for placement under the front doors without modification or welding.
Hide-a-steps work! Selling mine if your interested?

Agreed. I ended up adding some grip tape for mine so they are less slippery when wet, but they are well built, follow the curve of the vehicle (not all steps/rails do this) and do a great job covering the pinch weld.

Are those Weathertech splash guards that you are using with these?

Yep. I just have the fronts to try to combat rock chips on the side of the Jeep. They help, but don't reduce it completely.

I have the Weathertech guards too. Correct on not eliminating the chips 100%. I still have to touch up my hinges on occasion from my KO2's throwing stones. I was just curious how those guards worked with your side steps. I like the look of them Thanks!

Not trying to hijack the thread, but have a question. For those running RSE, how does the step work when the doors are removed???

You either turn them off before you remove the doors, or there’s an optional door delete harness that allows you to trigger them manually. They would still work fine with tube doors as you’d just need magnets.

I would imagine they would have to have a manual override. If i have the truck sitting on rocks and get out to assess then i dpnt want them trying to move.

The manual override is standard. I turn mine off on trails. The switch mounts near the OBD port. Always within reach.

These are top of my list just under the ACE option w/ Rubi Rails. How well do they hide the pinch seam (I absolutely hate it being visible for some reason)? Any shots from a bit lower that would show how it covers the seam?

First two shots are the best shots I have at the moment showing what you've asked. Could take more if need be. Included another just to show how they've held up. But from the side it does a fairly good job covering it. There's a small section only from an angle that somewhat very slightly shows it but it's not bad in my opinion and honestly it's more of the bracket of the rails than the actual seam. There is a slight space between them and the seams but the space is more away from the seam than vertical showing it more if that makes sense. It's not that big a deal for me regardless. Overall though it does a decent job covering in my opinion. But regardless I swear by these. Great quality. I generally like a full length step of any kind over a drop step since I like being able to step up anywhere on the truck not just at the doors. And I don't prefer rock rails. So these work great for me. They've even held up offroad.

To give you a cheap option, I pulled my rubi sliders off and put on the factory steps. The factory steps sell used around here from free to $75 so I have a spare set and if I trash them I'll just pop on a new one.

But I am careful with my line and watch what I am doing. The convenience of a good step for roof access is more important for what I do.
