Ok. So I have 210K on my JT. And in those 210k miles, I've had a few coolant related issues. Once, I had to replace the reservoir for a broken connector underneath. The second time, I had to replace all of the hoses for a pinhole leak that I didn't notice at first. And the third time, it was the connector on top of the coolant reservoir.

The pinhole hole leak in the tri-connector for the hoses is the one that I never noticed until someone else looked underneath.

Use an ultra violet flashlight to look for coolant residue. That's how I found my leaky radiator after it passed the dealer's pressure test.

2020 JTR w/54k miles. I have noticed a VERY slight coolant smell for approximately the last 5-7k miles when I pull into the garage with the engine at normal operating temp. Quick looks around the engine bay show no visual indication of leaks. Haven't really tracked coolant level in the tank, but it is showing closer to the min line than the max line when cold. I'll start looking closer at some of the locations identified in this thread.

Actually, here are my two videos from my coolant related issues. The first one is the coolant hoses. It was a pinhole leak that I never noticed. I went to my friend's shop in TX to have them look at something and while underneath they noticed the leak. I bought all of the hoses and the connector and while removing the original, it pretty much broke in my hands.

The second video is when I replaced the coolant resevoir from the leak at the connector on top. This was the second time as the first time, it broke underneath. I was out of town both times, so I had to buy from the local dealership.

I'm linking these videos because maybe there is a leak related to one of these components that you didn't see or can't see.

Hi everyone, I wanted to give an update.

My JT is still parked at my friend’s shop while I’m away for a couple of weeks. I’ll be back soon. He called me this morning and mentioned that the coolant level in the reservoir has risen to slightly above the minimum mark. He also reached out to a specialist shop that works specifically with Jeeps, and according to them, this can be normal behavior for the 3.6L engine. So far, there are still no signs of any leaks. The first things he checked were the water pump and the engine oil dipstick, and everything looks good. At this point, the recommendation is to leave it as is unless there’s visible evidence of a leak. However, I will take the advice from one of our members and try using a UV dye and violet light to see if that reveals anything.

I also want to thank everyone here who has taken the time to give advice. I’m grateful I came across this forum and joined the community. I’ll update this thread later if there are any new developments.

Thanks again, everyone.

I will consider trying this. Thank you

You shouldn't need to add any dye, the coolant residue should show up under a UV light as is.

Mine had a leak on top of the transmission. A bad/poor connection of the line to the tranny.

I rolled under the vehicle looking, till I found it. Then called & took it to the dealer on a Saturday. The weekend crew could not find the leak. It baffled them, so they called the factory and the recommendation was to "replace all hoses, and check the tranny connection". They told me that they would have to lower the tranny. They couldn't feel it out, they wanted to lay eyes on it. They ordered hoses, and I came back for an appointment they made. It took a few days. They replaced the connection on top of the transmission.
Mine was warranty. I caught it in time. Yours may not be....good luck!
