I've been having trouble with the oil pressure idiot light.
Today I did a search and found I'm not the only one, Gassers & Diesel's are subject to the problem. At start up its 55-75psi then it will go down to 40psi, then when I start it up when hot it may only show 10-15psi. Upon shutoff and start all's OK. I read one guy is on his 4th sender, and another found bare wires at the plug end of the sender.
Surprised I haven't seen anything on here or did I mis it?

Oil pressure are based on engine temp and rpm (mechanical pump). Your appears normal. Except, mine diesel at idle fully warmed up bounces between 17-18 psi.

First I've heard of it. The 55-75 down to 40psi sounds normal but I've not looked at mine to see if it does that. It is a variable pump and higher volume/pressure at start up will fill the oil passages faster. Don't know about the 10-15psi. If some guy is on his 4th oil pressure sensor, it probably is not the sensor.
