Sport S manual with mopar lift and daystar 3/4" front spacer. Rubi take off wheels/wildpeaks. What do y'all think? First I thought the lift would make the wheels/tires look tiny but now it's all on, kinda like it!

Planned on 35s after the lift but now I'm not so sure. Save weight, cost, don't bog down the engine or tranny as bad.... I'll do some trails and some light crawling but nothing crazy. It's my daily driver too.

All that said, curious what other jeepers think when they see it....does my meat make my potatoes look small?????

P.S. installing was a blast and my boy learned a thing or two about turning a wrench!

THIS needs to happen more in this world. Well done pop!

ive always thought that 3/4in front over rear ( 2in rear / 2.75in front ) always looked a little nose high to me.

imo 1/4 or 1/2in in front would bring you to a more natural stance that doesn’t look perfectly level or even nose high.

but thats me. A lot of folks think a 3/4in front over rear is perfect

Annnnd i miss read...you didn’t ask about the dang height. Long day :asshat:

I like the tire size with the lift. I enjoy being able to see the shocks and springs on a lift.

I say 35’s. It will make it look like a whole different truck. I did and am totally happy with it.

I have the same tires you do, and I’m happy with them so far. Perhaps I’ll upgrade to 35s some day when they wear out, but this is my daily driver and I think it rides pretty great as it is.

While I like the look of big tires (37+) on other Jeeps, I don’t think I’d actually enjoy them on my truck. Plus my wife and daughters would hate getting in and out.

35’s and 37’s are good looking but id just suggest digging into the forums a bit more first. Its my observation that people love the look but hate the sluggish acceleration and piss poor gas mileage.

as a daily driver ive been very happy with 285/75/17

Skip the 35's and go straight 37's, your gonna kick yourself if you don't. My daily driver and I could of saved some money by going with my original plan of 37's. Yours looks good with your setup, would look even better on 35's and would look absolutely amazing on 37's. Just my opinion though

Thanks all! And great rig pics for comparison. No doubt the 35s/37s look great! I'll probably drive the 33s for a while and also see how they fare on some trails and then reassess going larger when they wear. Soon as I get a couple nice weekends I'm off to the Badlands Off-road park and then down to Redbird SRA to get a couple jeep "honor" badges.

Great job with your boy! Way to get him involved and hopefully hold his love for being hands on with things.

I did a 1 1/2” Teraflex level in front with 315/75R17’s. (34 x 12.5). Front sits a wee low because the bumper and winch are about 170 pounds...but love the look. I ended up just doing the 3/4 day star for the rear because I notice it would sit a little lower with some weight and did front shock extensions to get the smooth ride back.

IMO, significant tire size jumps change the Jeep completely. Top is after lift with factory Sport tires and bottom is with 35s. Lift is 3.5 front and 2 rear. Your take offs are a bit larger than Sport tires, but I think you would still be very happy with a size increase.

It looks fine as it is. Run it for a while and see if you really need 35's. I went to 35's on my stock Rubi suspension and have not noticed any difference in acceleration, towing or mileage. Then again, I do have 4:10's.
A lot of people say skip the 35's and go to 37's but as my DD and not being tall people, that extra height might be a bit much. If I went to 37's, 4.88's would happen.
Also, watch those steps off-road. I would kill those here at Rausch Creek, but the mud at RedBird should be a little more forgiving.

Great rig to start on. I think you may have an issue of it not looking right with the front higher than the back as soon as you put anything in the back. Even a couple hundred pounds will look like somethings broken.

My neighbour drives a 2016 Tacoma with the front end up in the air and says it “looks sexy”. I don’t get it, but that’s me.

I’ve also gone with bigger tires as far back as I can remember, even with the SUV’s I’ve had BUT I didn’t jump several sizes. Only to the next size is all.

The next size from stock is 285/75/17. My choice running K02’s - 34 1/4”.

Very true. I added the spacer to help compensate for the winch that's going in next. I like the leveled look but I don't mind a little front squat a la stock.

The steps were my first add on to help kids and wife. Should done slider steps in hindsight. Really, if they get a little banged up I don't mind that much. I'll just touch up any big scratches until they're jacked enough to convince wife of the upgrade!

A little bit of rack is good for towing, that's why I left some on mine. I got about a 1/4 inch roughly front to back, love the look. I'm not a huge fan of the completely leveled look and I absolutely hate the front raised up in the air carolina squat look, still can't figure that one out.
