Eddie, Am planning on doing trips just like you...But, still undecided on the platform Sport S, Overland, Ruby or Mojave...and gas or diesel...my inability to make a decision revolves around your main concern...weight. I am also seriously considering the ALUCAB Canopy Camper. In highsight, would you have preferred more weight carrying capacity? Were lockers really needed for your trips (so far)? I really like the diesel for the torque...maybe don't need the lockers? Increased range of the diesel...maybe don't need as big an aux tank? Am sure you get the picture. Your thoughts? Perspectives will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for the delay.
This past fall we left VA and drove out west and did 3 epic routes in Colorado and Utah. These were the Alpine Loop, The Rimrocker Trail and the White Rim Trail. The Jeep performed fantastically! Here are just a few pictures…

Looks like a great trip, thank you for the pictures. So what do you think after the first trip? Any changes or additions in the works. I'm moving from my old land rover with a swing door in the rear to the gladiator tailgate and wondering how it works out with the drawers.

Believe it or not there isn’t anything that I would change.
The drawer system worked out great as well as having the fridge mounted on the bed floor which allowed my wife and I to easily access it.

The only thing that I didn’t bring and wish I had were the side walls of the awning as we got caught out in a snowstorm at 11,000 feet in Colorado (Little Molas Lake) and it was blowing almost sideways so we weren‘t as sheltered as I would have liked but we will take them next time.

@smlobx, love the build, trip photos and all the info you contribute to the forum. Can you share what mounts you used to mount the All-cab crossbars to the cap to provide enough clearance over the cab for your tent? I'm picking up a tent for mine this weekend and am not certain if I can use the flush mount (L-bracket) or will need the 40mm or 80mm risers. Thanks!
