Military Light Conversion

Back when I had a TJ I did a light conversion adding recessed Humvee Brake Lights. I'd like to do this again except with my Gladiator but need some help building a wiring harness to adapt to the JT. Anyone interested in helping me out? I have the lights and some new military connectors but I need someone to build the harness to directly plug into the jeep side.

I believe they are, but swapping a 12v bulp into the fitting shouldn't make a difference. It's just a socket after all.

Correct. It’s a simple bulb change and there are also universal LED bulbs that work for both 24v and 12v.

I was trailing a Humvee yesterday that had JK tail lights mounted in the same bezel.

Seems like figuring out the mounting would be more difficult than the wiring! Are you going to adapt the JT housing, or do a bunch of body work?

Are you aware of the sheet metal missing under the JT tail lights ?
you will need to fill in where it wraps around the corners.

Planning on the body work portion once I start mocking it up....I like the look so I'm going to try and make it work. The patch panel will have the shape pre-cut.

I guess everyone has a different skill set! I can't imagine the wiring being difficult, but I wouldn't want to try the body work part.
If I were closer to you I might offer to help with the electrical in exchange for some body work tips!

Try finding some busted taillights to harvest connectors for the adapter pigtails would be a starting point for me.
