Misc. Button

I just bought a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and have found this little button on the dash. This button isn't molded into the dash, but rather uses some kind of sticky back to attach to the dash. It flashes blue when pressed and I haven't been able to find it in any pictures or even the manual. Hoping someone could tell me what this button is for. It is located on the dash just to the left of the steering column and between the light controls.

Something aftermarket gets my vote. Was the vehicle new? Does it have a factory radio? That’s the kind of button is usually connected to an aftermarket radio for telephone integration. If the vehicle was used and has the factory radio it’s also possible they had an aftermarket radio installed but returned to stock radio for the trade. Although odd it still lights up if that were the case.

I’m intrigued. Maybe some kind of dealer add on for SOS? I would ask the dealer.

I bought it new with 11 miles on it. It just has me scratching my head.

I called the dealership where I purchased it and asked them. It is the Mopar EVTS (Electronic Vehicle Tracking System)

I'll have to think about it. The way its installed looks cheap, so probably not.

Was it an option? Did you pay for it? Did they charge you and you didn't notice? If they did and you didn't request it (which obviously you didn't) tell them to take it off. If you ended up paying for it and didn't realize it. Get your money back!

Exactly… get rid of it… not worth your frustration’s!!! It is intended to track you… nothing mopar about it… your mopar tracking is the guardian stuff above your head.

Its available on Amazon for 475.00 with pretty lousy ratings at that.
