Trying to keep this brief as I'm currently on hold with service department, thanks in advance!
Had CEL light go off, hesitation with shifting after 5k rpm. P0300, P0301, P0305 codes on my Tazer.
Have noticed engine ticking since as early as I can remember, always seemed underpowered, but I do have 33" tires and heavy black rhino wheels.
I have Maxcare 8yr/125k warranty and currently at ~77k and 5 years so out of powertrain warranty but within my Maxcare.
Plugs were changed at ~30k for another issue with valve timing/missfires.
Vehicle currently at dealer for 2 weeks, they have "been waiting for approval" of diagnostics but have not reached out once.
Get the following from service dept:
I am told that in order to diagnose the issue they will need to charge me for the above diagnostics.
I have done all my own oil changes/diff fluid and have built my rig completely unassisted (lift etc) etc so I am mechanically inclined, but I just assumed that with my extended warranty it's a no brainer to take it to the dealership.
I am honestly pissed that diagnostics aren't covered under the warranty if their diagnostics do not uncover a problem (ie. they can take me to the cleaners and charge me up the a$$ for any/all diagnostics in order to make their money).
What should I reasonably expect them to do for diagnostics before jumping to everything under the sun?
Coils/plugs first (but plugs changed less than 50k ago)? Then maybe injectors and if no issue then compression? They didn't even mention injectors on their work order.
Any advice would be helpful, thanks in advance!

[Primary]: EN001 : CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR OTHER WARNING LIGHT: CEL ON IN DASH. ADVISE
$1,076.82
**Check Engine Light DiagnosiS: Customer Has Check Engine Light Concern. VERIFIED CUSTOMERS CONCERN, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AFTER 5K RPM. PERFORMED DATA MONITOR OF MISFIRE COUNTS. FOUND 200 MISFIRE COUNTS ON CYLINDER 1 AND 166 COUNTS ON CYLINDER 5. RECOMMEND INSPECTING SPARK PLUGS, IGNITION COILS, AND PERFORMING COMPRESSION TEST ON ENGINE CYLINDERS.
When the vehicle's computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores, the corresponding trouble code(s) in its memory light up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light, to tell you that there is a problem and your car needs to be looked at.
