It’s not for lifting it is a higher rated spring to carry winch and bumper weight and it gets out of the bump stops and gets shocks into in a better zone. A few have done it with good results , I am about to and also putting a 1/2” spacer in front and getting my spare Fox shocks refurbed and tuned a bit firmer in rear for weight of cap and fridge that is in all the time.
I’m one of the guys running Max Tow springs with Icon spacer in rear and also have the diff. shock too and am actually running skinner tires then factory and love the setup !…Jack
A higher rated spring with the same overall length will provide lift though. It's still a guessing game where it will end up too. Maybe it will end up exactly where you want, maybe it won't. That's the beauty of just running a spacer. Typically unless you're running a crazy heavy bumper and winch with steel line you'll see ~1/2" of sag up front. I'm willing to bet a 1" spacer with the stock springs will end up almost identical to the x springs you plan plus the 1/2" spacer. The stock spring rates are so close together I doubt you'd see a difference in ride at all. Assuming the x and the standard springs are the same length and you gain the same 1/2" most others do, the spring rates would be within 10lbs/in of each other. I doubt you could even feel that diffrence driving both back to back.

Other have done it and noticed improvement , I had no sag at all putting a lightweight winch in my plastic bumper but notice the softer spring rate now with the Mopar mid width steel bumper, like when coming down off a rock hard or feeling bump stops on the beach that I did not before. I have not put mine on yet but look forward to it!…Jack

You said: "I’m one of the guys running Max Tow springs with Icon spacer in rear and also have the diff. shock too and am actually running skinner tires then factory and love the setup !…Jack" By diff shock do you mean different shocks, or you put a shock on the rear differential, which I've never heard of doing?

A differential shock that goes from the diff to a bracket on the frame. Some Gladiators came with them mostly stick shifts I think. The thing I noticed the most was the Glady had axle hop sometimes coming over the dunes at beach, played with air pressure but the diff shock stopped it all together. Everyone here that put them on said the rear feels more planted. If you look on top of your diff there are four mounting bases there and that is where the shock bracket goes then up on your frame there is a bracket from factory that the shock mounts to. It is a nice but expensive shock from Mopar…..Jack
What didja think I just make stuff up😂

I think the issue caused by the pinion angle changes is really a result of the terrible rear suspension geometry. The lowers shouldn't be twice as long as the upper control arms. That diffrence causes pinion dive when the suspension droop which is why the rear feels unstable. I fixed mine with the triangulated rear 4 link uppers that are ~10" longer than the stock uppers. Now the pinion stays pointed at the transfer case throughout suspension travel. I think the shock slows that pinion angle change which helps the handling, but it's still not right (in my opinion). The 4 link improved the ride and made the rear end feel planted even under hard acceleration in the dirt. I wouldn't own a gladiator without it having experienced the difference.

Yes they can be used on any year Mojave.

Please let me know if you have any other questions at this time.

Thank you,
- Benny
Hello Benny - I'm waiting on delivery of Mojave X coils (front & rear). Can you tell me if there are bump stops etc for the Mojave X coil setup? I need to order all new bump stops etc.

Hey Benny - replacing Mohave coils with MAX TOW Mohave X coils (front & rear) to address added weight (modest build) while avoiding a significant lift. Should I replace bumper stops as well? If so - bump stop recommendations? TY

Your mojave has the same bumpstops as the x, no need to change them. Further, all other models have the same foam bumpstops. Lift kits come with bump stops for 2 reasons. 1. To add clearance for larger tires. 2. To allow clearance when longer shocks are added. Not needed in your application.

Nick be careful what you are saying there is no Max Tow Mojave X springs , two different springs Max tow are rated highest for rear but much shorter then any Mojave springs. As for Max Tow front springs I can not say they are rated heavier then any others , but am sure the Mojave springs standard or X are the tallest of any model by at least an inch.
Next thing we have to deal with Nick is you drive a Mojave even though it is pronounced Mohave! You wil look like an idiot saying Mo Jave when saying it .
It is ok we won’t kick ya out

I've been schooled! Yes, I'm installing MAX Tow rear springs with 1 3/8" spacers and Mojave X springs in front. Others have used this formula with good results. My hope is to accommodate added weight (steel front & rear bumpers) while avoiding excessive lift.

Here's my MaxTow Mojave. The metalcloak 3.5" springs have been great on and off road, but I think towing is where they are most impressive. The water buffalo was 6500lbs full and only caused ~1" of squat. The lumber trailer was 8200lbs and only squatted 1.75". Some argue tow ratings go down with lift, but I'd argue that's only the case if height was the limiting factor. In reality I think the cooling system is, so I'm not worried about it in the least. I just won't tow heavy on mid day heat.
