Bought my first Jeep last year and love it.
Was never much of a vehicle guy and then started to get interested in trucks and landed on Mojave. Brings smile to my face every time I get in it.

I've really enjoyed this forum, great advice and no bs like some other groups.

I've been doing various upgrades and looking for new wheels for my 35 Toyo Open Country III's. I'd like just a little tire on outside but not a lot.

Does that mean negative offset ?

Any advice on brands or specific wheels for Mojave sting Grey ?

Thanks a lot
Steve

As you know there are many choices out there... I believe that the MOJAVE wheels are 5.25" backspace .. so to move out more would call for less than that back space . This video might help in selection. I run 4.50" back space with the wheels on mine and have close to 1 tread block outside the fenders.

Yes, slightly negative offset, to produce less of a backspace. Here's a few pics for a visual. I'm running Black Rhino wheels with a -18 offset and 4.5" backspace on my Mojave. They don't stick out too far at all, in my opinion.......

Here is some 315/70/17 BFG KO2’s on Method 703 17x8.5 with zero offset on stock height Sting Gray Mojave. I love the look.

No, it does not, but "just a little" is pretty subjective.

Do lots of research with threads on here that have pictures down the side with offsets published.

Welcome to the rabbit hole.

I thought I was being conservative with a 5" inch backspacing on a 17x9 wheel. AEV does a 5.72" backspacing and those just poke out of the fenders slightly.

You really should check out the wheel offset calculator: https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Factory specs are 285/70 r17, +37mm
Aftermarket specs are 35/12.5 r17, -12mm
Results in 2.58 inches of additional width on either side:
