I will be picking up a new Punk'n Mojave this evening and trading my Rubicon. I would like to install a front bumper that can handle a winch, but still utilize the factory skid plate. I typically don't get a full width bumper but a mid or stubby. I thought I would take this to the forum for suggestions and pictures of Mojave front bumper options that fit my needs...Thanks!

The Mojave skid plate is the same as the Rubicon, only painted silver. That should help narrow down bumpers that will work. From what I have seen, there are not many that work with the OEM skid.

Fishbone front Stubby bumper works fine for me. It will accommodate a winch and has plenty of clearance for the skid plate. And from my understanding there is a difference between the Rubi and Mojave skid plates.

Arcus fits with the stock Mojave skid plate. With the HF 12k winch, it adds 100-104 lb to the front end and drops it 3/8 inch. I recently put mine on a diet with synthetic rope, Rugged Ridge shackle brackets for XHD bumpers, aluminum shackle block instead of a steel hook, aluminum hawse to bring down the weight penalty to 70 lb for a better ride, less bottoming out on bad bumps.

LOD Signature Bumper repurposed from my JKU.

I had one prior to this one on my JKU where the winch sat on top of the bumper and I overheated on a trip to WV. Switched to the recessed option and never overheated again.

That's actually not accurate. I have both skid plates in my garage and they are identical in every way except the paint. The two links you posted are of different skid plates, so let me clarify this once again.
Link #1 - That is not the Rubicon skid plate. That is the optional skid plate that works with the optional Mopar steel bumper. It has a lip in the front that bolts directly to the bottom of the steel bumper. Part # 68293984AB is the optional skid plate for steel bumper only. The Rubicon skid plate (steel) that comes standard with the plastic bumper will not work with the Mopar steel bumper. That is why it is sitting in my garage.
Link # 2 - That is an Mojave skid plate. It is exactly like the Rubicon one except it is painted silver, the reason it has a different part number.

is the Rubicon skid plate that comes with the plastic bumper. It is identical to the Mojave one except it is painted black and has a different part number.

When I get home I will post a picture of the two skid plates. If I am wrong, I will make that correction.

Red rock stubby works. Painted the factory skid but otherwise it's unmodified. I think the silver is ugly.

70 pounds isn't bad for that. I will be using a Warn EVO 12,000 with synthetic rope...thanks.
