Ok so has anyone lifted their mojaves with a non specific kit and swapped out the springs? If so did you get the lift size of the kit that was ordered? I had an aev 2 inch kit on order and I canceled and ordered and evo 2.5 instead and just got the shock extensions.. so im worried that this kit replaces the springs and since the mojave sits 1 inch higher does this mean my kit will be 1 inch less since im changing the springs on it? Any help greatly appreciated

Your front end will be lifted 1" less than specified, or basically to the same height as a non-Mojave. Your front shock extensions will also be 1" too long.

I don't believe this is the case. After doing some research it seems the extra 1 inch comes from the way the hydraulic bumpstops are mounted, and not from extra spring length. If you buy 2 inch lift springs, you should get 2 inches from where your Mojave sits on stock springs. Can anyone else confirm this?

That sounds about right evo is 3.5 in the front on 2.5 inch lifts for Rubis so if you got 3.5 you matched the rubi lift on those springs too.

From everything Ive read the extra inch of lift most people think is on the Mojave comes from comparing the hood levels to other gladiators without realizing that the hood and cowls are higher on the Mojave. Also take into account the steel bumper weight many Rubicons have that are in comparison shots. Just food for thought. Similar to how many people don't know that the Mojave having a wider track comes from different offset wheels and not wider axles.

Im not sure why anyone would measure height from the center of the hood. I wish companies would maybe give a little more detail with their coil springs and lift kits. I understand it’s difficult due to a large variety of factors but if I buy a 2 inch lift kit, I dont want it to end up being 3 and a half inches tall.

The extra inch of lift on the Mojave over the Rubicon is listed in Jeep’s specs and marketing material, and is visible and measurable at the fenders and bumper.

Thanks yep you are right. The Mojave does have a 1 inch higher height in the front springs but not in the rear.

So be careful with buying any lift not specifically for a Mojave. Most of the other lifts not only raise the front more to level it but also have stiffer springs to account for heavier bumpers/accessories that the stock Mojave springs don't and will create an even larger lift.

It's even a problem on non Mojave models where the lift manufacturers want to make sure that even with a bunch of overlanding or offroading accessories that you still get the lift they advertise at. You'll see many people on here talking about getting a 3.5 actual on a 2.5 labeled lift.

There are 2 axel widths and the Mojave does have the wider axel.

Exactly right. My 2.5" Clayton actually netted ~4" at first, then settled a little after a couple of weeks at ~3.5". I'm not carrying much weight around and I'm happy with were it sits now.

I dont think its the springs. I think it comes from the way the hydraulic bumpstops are mounted.

Ah makes sense, I thought it was the spring perch or spring rating since I know I've seen posts showing the springs are same height as Rubicon
