I wanted to install running lights in my Mojave hood scoop that were more oblong (like the Ram TRX hood scoop lights) and less round like the Quadratec/Oracle pre-runner light kit offerings.
After searching around Amazon, I found an amber light kit designed for use on a Toyota that I thought would work with some modification.

I started by removing the hood scoop and separating it into two pieces.
I de-pinned the wiring plug connections (to more easily fit the wires through the holes i drilled in the back of the hood scoop) and trimmed the Toyota-specific mounting tabs on three of the lights.
I used hot glue to “seal” and mount the lights to the back hood scoop piece.
There are a few ways you can wire the lights up depending on your needs and the control that you want. I wired them to one of my AUX switches. (I also taped-off the fourth connection included with the wiring harness, since I am only using three lights.)
I am happy with how it turned out. Only time will tell the longevity and advertised “waterproof-ness” of the LEDs. I tried to take pics with minimal glare and reflections, especially in the night pics.
