The wrangler 392 and the gladiator Mojave share the same hood. The difference between the two is that the 392 has a functional hood scoop and the one on the Mojave comes from the factory non-functional. Sure we can remove the hood liner and mod the intake to be functional, but does anyone sell a kit that does everything for us? My biggest issue would be water ingestion, (which the factory Mopar intake handles).

That looks like it'd require relocating a lot of the air intake system.

Other than the, “cool factor,” why bother? To increase mass flow you want to bump up density, which is equivalent to raising total pressure. This is impossible (or at the very least does very little) using the ram air effect until you reach about a third of the speed of sound, over 200 mph.

Cooler outside air when crawling or going slow in the desert, or cooler outside air when going down the highway. While the "ram-air" affect might not be super beneficial, the cooler denser air that's not coming from under the hood is bound to be beneficial. On my JK I noticed a HUGE difference in temps when crawling when I added the Poison Spyder hood louver.

Aside from that, it's cool and it'll sound better.

Dusty - I hate to rain on your parade, but this is a solution with no problem.

Unless you are at full throttle, cooler intake air has absolutely zero benefit. Modern fuel injection systems meter fuel based on the mass of air, not the volume. So it takes intake air temp into account with fueling.

So you spend $700 and get nothing. Seriously. I'm not trying to insult you, but it really serves no purpose.

On the highway, there is already plenty of airflow.
Crawling, you need more ways for the air to get out. Not more ways for the air to get in. Since the cooling fan will take care of that.

Further, you aren't going to overheat going slow anyway. At low speeds, the engine is making very little power. That means very (comparatively) little heat.

Not to belabor the point, but I agree with the poster above. Ram air doesn't work the way you'd expect. For crawl speeds, a vent is ideal and actually does work. The 3.6 isn't a large enough pump to warrant additional inlets or increase in air pressure. It just isn't that powerful.
