The cheapest option as far as I can tell would be the Falcon 2.1 SP2s, which would most likely run $1000 to your door with bushings.

And although they are priced nicely, they are amazing. The cold/ soft setting is nice and I have ran the off road /performance setting as well they really are quality shocks. I cant knock them .

When the time comes, which will be very soon, I will go either SP2 2.1 or 3.3s. There are enough good reviews on here, and considering the 350-400lb load I always have on the rear axle, the added stiffness would be a welcome change.

I bought a used set of 4 for resonable money and am planning on sending them to Shock Surplus soon for rebuild with upgrades and am going to look into stiffing the rear a little, still happy with mine but getting noisey now, and not sure how good they are anymore but ride is still good. ....Jack

If the extended warranty that you have covers shocks then they should be able to replace. I had one front shock replaced by the dealer under my extended Mopar Max Care warranty due to the shock leaking oil. The dealer will have to determine that the shocks have failed for the extended warranty to cover it.

I think shocks should be replaced as a pair (front or rear) as a minimum. If I had only one shock leakingI’m afraid I’d have to spray the opposite side shock with hydraulic fluid before going to the dealer…...just saying.

I 100% agree, I went back and forth with the Dealership over replacing them as a pair but ultimately the Mopar Max Care warranty would only approve the shock that the technician stated had failed. If I had known that they wouldn't replace as a pair I probably would have told the Dealership in advance that both shocks were failing and made some excuse about the other shock being noisy and not performing. My mistake was taking it in and clearly showing them how only 1 of the shocks was leaking (was more than just leaking, oil was steadily dripping out of the reservoir and pooling on the skid plate).

Keep saying it was on backorder, I called the dealership's parts department and pretended like I wanted I wanted to buy some shocks, the parts manager said they could have them to me in 3 days. Called the service department and shared this with them, suddenly my shock arrived the next day.

I'm going up there to buy some wipers and will ask. The advisor said, "holy shit" when she was told 45 days and then said she will do whatever she can to expedite it. We will see.

I just finished replacing mine with rebuilds from Blake @ All-Terrain Shock Solutions, LLC. Rides Like new again. Easy process. Blake sends you rebuilt shocks with a return label and you simply send him your shocks once replaced.

Really Is an easy install as long as the bolts haven’t been over tightened. I had my fronts replaced under warranty a year ago and the dealer over-torqued the top bolts. They crapped out once it got cold this winter. I took it to the service dept and had them loosen and retorque to proper specs and was much easier to remove. I couldn’t get the bolts to budge before that.

Stock replacements or tuned? I emailed them for a quote on custom tuned replacements today. I figure with the tires being 50lbs heavier than stock at each corner and the added weight from winch, bumpers, gear, etc and our frequent high speed desert use they could use more compression and rebound damping than stock so we will see what they say. Certainly cheaper than going to anything near as good and I got 50k miles out of the stock set.
