It’s not a Mojave but my Rubicon i just put 1.5” spacers in the front and didn’t have to do anything else because a small level. Then i put Fox 2.5” adjustable shocks for 0-1.5” lift all around. 35/12.5/17 BFG KM3’s and that’s all i want.

The plan is to get 35's once my 33's wear down but thats going to be another year. I was hoping to see some photos with a 2 inch lift on stock 33's for my own perspective.
I don't get this mentality, you aren't saving anything by running the 33s until you have to pay a disposal fee for them. I sold the 4 falkens off my 2023 mojave with 2000 miles on them for $600 in 2 days on marketplace. I was lucky enough to score the $94/tire 37s from the Walmart sale so I actually made money going from 33s to 37s. I think it looks perfect with the 2" aev kit and 37s.

Watching this video cemented the concept for me:

Some might then ask, what about the gladiator that finished KOH a few years back:

Or this one:

Class limited to 35" tire, but the trucks are sky high. "Bonanza, wouldn't these race cars know more about this than you?"

And you're right. They are tall race trucks. But, part of the reason they are that tall is for the purpose of having uptravel through the fast desert sections. Ideally, without the tire limitation, a 37-40" tire would be ideal, with a concession made for uptravel in the desert.

if this was done today, i would expect the factory race offering would be equipped with Weld74 portals and a much lower lift.
I think you have conflicting ideas? They run extra lift for uptravel, running portals gives the lift and 0 extra clearance for uptravel. Why would you want stock uptravel, 4" of lift, and only 35s? I see 0 gain in the desert there. Add the massively increased torsional forces on axles and control arms when the tires impact obstacles and portals are about the worst idea for desert racing in my opinion. The wheelbase on the JT is massive and breakover is terrible even on 35s. In my opinion they ran that much lift because the rocks in Johnson Valley are BIG and they needed the extra clearance and the extra uptravel for the high speed sections.

Why would you put on a lift for anything for other than tire clearance? I have a 2020 Mojave with stock suspension and Nitto 11.5X 37 tires and I can just get in it without a step. This is the optimum setup for me.
This wheelbase is massive and the breakover angle is shit at stock height. 37s might clear at the mall at stock height but I wouldn't trust that when I hit a wash at 70mph in the desert. I guess it would be a free way to get quick detach fenders though? Ground clearance, approach/departure/breakover angle, and proper tire clearance are all improved by the lift.

Savvy builds some cool rigs. They have been pretty successful at KOH and JV. You are right on why they sit a little taller.

I’m running my stocks for the winter on a 3.5” lift. Got 37’s for the summer. I’m not a huge fan but I’m not going to waste these tires either

Been in the same debate. Unfortunately, I can’t find anyone who carries AEV in my area and I’m not savvy enough to do it myself. :-(

Order directly from AEV and then pay someone to install it. That's what I did.

Kanati mud hogs. Only lifted the truck and went to 37s because Walmart had that ridiculous sale last year at $94/tire. Run the same tire in a 39 on the wife's JLUR but they were $400 each.

Thank you. I am tossed between them and Geolanders G003. The best price I found for the 37 Kanati mud hogs is about $1200 for 4. The Geolander G003 are about $1000 more... So the Kanati will probably win.
