We have five ‘21 JTs in Jeep tour service, all with the Mopar 2” / Fox suspensions. The issues we have had have been front link failures (factory has upgraded them), broken rear link mounts at the frame, a weakness of the suspension design, not a fault of the lift. To compensate we added Metalcloak frame reinforcement brackets. We’ve also had a couple leaky shocks.

Have to add, two of them have had the frames crack at the rear bump stops. We had those frames repaired and reinforced.

As far as the lift goes, it’s a good, basic suspension. Easy to supplement with track bars, etc. Renders an actual 2.5-3”, enough for 35s on non Rubi models and 36s on Rubis.

I was just at Moab EJS and noted quite a few JLs and JTs running the Mopar lift. I assume these have been dealer installed, but it would be an easy lift to install in your garage over a weekend.

Short answer to your question: yes, that is a good price.

I paid $1499 plus tax and shipping last year for the Mopar lift kit from Quadratec. (I also squeezed another $80 off by using a black Friday code.)

I suspect Quadratec got a deal on a truckload of these because they've offered that deal for a while. I shopped this around for a while before buying and concluded this was the best legitimate deal for that kit. Also, I noted that the manufacture date stamped on the year implied these have been on the shelf for a bit. I wasn't too worried about the date stamps because the warranty is the same - I just made a point to inspect closely after the first real trail ride to ensure good seals.

Overall, I am very pleased with this lift kit and the installation. I netted a real 2.5" up front after deleting the 1.5" spacer lift, 3"+ on the rear. Caster after the lift is 5.8°. it tracks straight and actually 'feels better' to me then the original set up (with 20k miles) on this JT Sport.

I highly recommend a fresh steering damper and an alignment. I selected a Mopar Fox steering damper. That upgrade alone was worth every cent. (I did that separately so I could evaluate the improvement.)

The end result is an all 'factory engineered' lift (over M/T Baja Boss A/T 35" shoes), with rebuildable shocks, that improved the ride on and off road. Very satisfactory.

I've been lurking here for a long while. Your posts about this fleet and it's commercial use helped me decide this simple factory offering is plenty stout for anything I will be getting into. The ride with the fox shocks is great. 25 gladiator sport with max tow, quadratec 17x8.5 wheels and yokahama x-at 315/70-17, I'm loving it. Thanks
