Hey guys. Was unboxing my new mopar lift and had no idea how much tension was on the metal latches holding the top of the crate. As I was attempting to remove the first one and the amount of pressure caused it to spring off so fast and hit me right in the throat. Luckily it wasn’t my eyes or teeth and somehow the sharper ends didn’t get me. Still managed to cut me and my Adam’s apple is swollen but man I wasn’t expecting that this morning.

just be aware those things like to fly off.

Lemme know how negatively it affects ride quality, please. I have an overland stock

Are there reports that it negatively impacts ride quality? I don't think I've heard/seen that about the Mopar kit...it definitely didn't have an impact for me.
I just assumed it might because of the lift. How soon after did you get the lift done? What trim do you have?

Once you start messing with the geometry of things it’s naturally not going to ride exactly as stock, that’s another reason why an alignment is recommended after a lift is installed.

I have an Overland as well. Installed it within about a month of ownership. I "upgraded" to 33" KO2s shortly after, but then switched to 37" not long after that. If anything, the tires had the most noticeable impact (not necessarily ride quality, but driving characteristics). Although it's been awhile, I was never upset/unhappy with the lift even immediately after installing.

I think the real risk is when you get into more purpose oriented kits or adjustable shocks that aren't dialed in right.

I get it installed tomorrow and pick it up Wednesday. Will let you know how it feels. I haven’t read anything negative about it ride quality wise. I would think the 35s I am also throwing on there would have more of an effect. I have a 22 Willy’s 3.6l v6

Getting mine installed tomorrow as well. How much are they charging you for the install?

I see, thanks for the info, I figure a month after ownership of riding stock without a lift isn’t really that long to really get the feel of stock vs aftermarket to really tell the difference imo

The only part of an alignment you do with a Mopar lift is re-center the steering wheel.

Toe will not change, the arms are not adjustable, and there are no adjustable track bars in the kit.

Why would the steering wheel need re-centered?

The lift will make the front axle shift to the driver side.
Actually if you dont use an adjustable trackbar the steering wheel will be fine. I was fully expecting to adjust the wheel on my wife's Mojave with the 2" AEV kit but it stayed straight since the drag link is still the same length in relation to the trackbar.

My 2.5" (4") Clayton kit on the other hand, the steering wheel was way off.

Yep. I think my front axle moved towards the driver side about 5/8". Ended up with an adjustable track bar and it's good to go in front. I couldn't get consistent measurements on the rear but I installed a track bar relocation bracket after eyeballing it a little to the passenger side. I have been very happy with it ever since.
