New to the forum hello everyone. Just purchased the Bestop Sunrider for my 2021 Overland and was wondering if it will work with the Mopar grab handles. I have watched a couple of installation videos but it is hard to tell if they will work together. Thank you and looking forward to any input you guys have.

I looked into this a while back and found that they will not work with the Bestop Sunrider. Unfortunately I do not have the post from Bestop where they started they will not work but it is on this forum somewhere.

I use them with mine and I have had no issues with leaking, etc. The Sunrider does push into the handles at one spot, so YMMV.

Front mounting point, no issues:

Rear mounting point, you can see where the Sunrider comes in contact with the handle:

Will probably be indented real nice when I remove the Sunrider and use the Freedom panels come winter. Haha.

Thanks everyone that posted a reply.. Here is my work around. The mounting brackets although looking pretty solid are actually very malleable. I bent the mounting hole portion in the opposite direction. I putthe screw through and tightened it down. Then bent the mounting bracket to form around the inside plastic portion of the top bar. The grab handles are inboard more. The position works great glad to have them back and not interfering with the best top. Hope this helps anyone the ops for the Sunrider either from Bestop or Mopar.

So how’s that been working out installed that way? Are the brackets being pulled inward after you have used them for a while now? I’m thinking of doing the same. Thanks!

I rest my hand on them mostly. Haven't really pulled on them with my full body weight. Originally you are pulling against the metal bar. This way you are putting pressure on the plastic. Something to keep in mind.

I like those. Do they function well if you have to put some weight on them ? Such as you slip getting in or out and wind up hanging from it to keep from falling?
