Sorry if this has been asked already but does anybody know if there is a Mopar oil catch can? I called the parts dept at my local dealership (not good unless u go in with a part number ) and they were clueless to what it even was.

Aren't oil catch cans necessary for engines that are direct injected? The 3.6L isn't DI?

You can put a catch can on any motor. It goes between the PCV and intake manifold. Catches oil vapor blow by that would otherwise get dumped in to the upper intake plenum.

Some people swear by them. Says it keeps the back side of the throttle body and intake plenum clean. *shrug* ... I pulled the throttle body on my JKR when I did a thermostat at 100k miles and it was clean. No catch can on my rig.
