I've got a mounting bracket designed to be attached using steel hose clamps and in the interest of both keeping everything from "moving" and reducing scratches and rattling, I want to put some rubber self-stick weather stripping to the hose clamps. This would be both to the clamp going around the C-pillar and the clamps going around the extinguisher.

The extinguisher is a 2.75lb marine (class B and C) from Harbor Freight.

Attached are photos of both the mount, the extinguisher, and the weather stripping.

I always wondered how well a holder that uses Velcro would hold under sudden force. I have used the ones with a rubber strap and those with a stainless steel band and never seen those fail.

Mine seems to hold very well and has long enough Velcro around the roll bar that I’m not worried. Hasn’t come loose and doesn’t rattle when off road driving over washboards either.
