Hey guys! I haven't been a big fan of mud flaps on Jeeps but following a recent minor snow event, I was frustrated by the amount of crap thrown up on the entire side of the Gladiator. Yeah, I know, "it's a Jeep thing". Well, I like to at least try to keep my vehicles moderately clean and this was gonna bug me everytime it snows this winter.
So...I need mud flaps. I've swapped the factory rock rails (Mojave) for Amp Powerstep XLs so I could get away with the MOPAR flaps. Unfortunately, I'm just not a fan of how they look. Same with the Weathertech's. Nothing else I considered comes to mind. Forgive me if you have these...it's just personal taste.
What to do...well...my research led me to the RokBlokz flaps. They come in several different sizes and colors depending on your application and desires. And, more importantly, they're "quick release" for when I don't want a flap (i.e. off-road). With the different sizes, I wasn't sure what I needed for a stock application. The smallest size seemed too small but I didn't want something overly large. I ended up getting the "Original XL" size and they seem to work well proportinally on my stock Mojave. I also think they'll match well when I upgrade to 35s.
I'd like to put a plug in for RokBlokz - They were very responsive to inquiries via email - often within 30 min. They are not inexpensive but are of very good quality, good instructions and fit up exactly as advertised - no issues. When you choose your color - I chose black - you get to also choose an accent color for the RB emblem. I wanted orange (to match the Mojave accents) but it wasn't an option. I included this request in the comments when ordering and they gave me the accents in orange! Very pleased. Finally, they support the military via a 10% discount on the purchase.
Overall, I think they look great on the truck and I'm very pleased with the product, customer service and installation! If you're looking for a mud flap solution, I highly recommend them!
