Sounds like Jeep needs to buy it back, or push for lemon law resolution...

Funny thing...on the JL forum you see a lot of these kinds of posts. Where a "problem" is the first post by an OP, gets a bunch of folks riled up, and then "poof" never see a resolution from the OP again. No proof offered, no asks of the community for advice, no advice given when a resolution is made.

Sadly, too many people only join or post when they have a problem and pull more from the board than they contribute.

I will try and add the work order when I get a chance. Truck is still in the shop and it is unclear what the fix will be. I will say so far the FCA folks and JeepCares have been very helpful and actually seem to care (which is nice).

I tried to upload the video but it would not let me, will try to add work order shortly, though I'm not sure what you will learn from it.

To you guys that were bashing and seem to know everything, I look forward to your thoughtful insights now that you have seen the most recent invoice.

Please note it's still in the shop, which is why I don't have much to update.

Post the part with the vehicle information with the last 8 of the vin# redacted

ETA: Did you post because you want help, or because you are looking for someone to commiserate with you? To help you we need to see what the dealer is and isn't checking, the codes it is throwing, etc.

That is why I'm asking for the work orders, when you repeatedly ignore that then post a portion of a work order without any of the pertinent information and simultaneously get puffy eyed because some dared question you, tells me you don't really want any help.

So I'm going to oblige you.

Good luck.

Found this online regarding some potential issues for the dealer to check as well as some additional codes to look for:

There are also some not so common things that may cause the engine misfire which could result in a P0300 code stored in the computer. Blown head gasket (coolant inside the combustion chamber), cylinder temperature too high resulting in engine pinging (lean air fuel ratio or even plugged exhaust) Vacuum leak or even EGR issues like the EGR valve sticking closed or open causing too much EGR flow in one or more cylinders will obviously cause the engine to misfire and run rough. However, usually if there is an EGR system failure, the computer will flag a P0401 or even a P0402 Excessive EGR flow code. In rare cases, plugged exhaust (catalytic converter or even plugged mufflers) cause the engine to misfire as well and does not always trigger a Diagnostic trouble code Catalyst Efficiency code P0420.

Thanks for the post, I will mention it to my service person. Last update I got yesterday was they were tracing down a fuel issue.

I will definitely post if I get some useful information. For now I just continue to wait. .... Thanks everyone.

Hi Jared,
We regret to learn that you have also experienced this. If you would like to be connected with a Case Specialist to work with you and your dealer, please feel free to send our team a private message.
