Man, this is a zombie thread resurrection from the dead, I'm in. I don't know why but my go to is the R. L. Burnside album Come on In, was fortunate enough to see him before he passed. It's nothing special it's just all good. 2nd would probably be Tom Waits Mule Variations album. Old stuff but withstands the test of time in my opinion.
