My Jeep is for sale on Carvana

A few months ago, I went to check a Jeep dealership (Houston area) deal of a 2018 stock JL Rubicon (not loaded) with 50,000 miles for 30k

They asked me if I was interested to sale my 21 Gladiator Rubicon with 34,000 miles. I said everything is for sale, for the right price

The whole dealership personnel went outside to checkout my JT.

After a few minutes, the salesperson came back with the numbers.

36k for their Jeep Rubicon and 29k for mine.
I started laughing, for what the sales guy said "modifications affect sales"

I keep laughing, grab the offer paper and made a big X on the paper and walk out.

The replacement. Super stoked about owning something a bit older. I've only ever had older vehicles (from 1956 Chevys to e36 M3s). It's pretty clean, 116k miles, and now I have enough liquid cash to pay for my PPL without having to affect any savings or spending money. Anyways, here's a pic:

o wonder the company's financials were dogshit not long ago. The overhead has got to be insane and require a massive sales volume just to keep the lights on.

The story of every big company ever. Hire all kinds of managers to manage and basically do nothing and cut the workforce of the people that actually get stuff done. Thats not to say managers don't do anything at all. But it's pretty sad when workforces get cut and existing workers face even heavier workloads without compensation for said added workloads. Same story different day. Its unfortunate.

Interesting. My local dealer offered me 7K more than carvana did.

Nope that was an outright purchase. They paid off the remaining bit of the loan for me so I didnt have to deal with any of that headache at all. I walked out with a large check in hand, and another large one should be here by the end of August. They even gave me a ride back home an hour away.

Oh man that’s many much bestest and it’s virgin. Finding good condition unmolested XJs is getting harder everyday. Nice find.
