You can do whatever, but my bet is that there's a simple solution to this............
What you describe is a self-protection mode when voltage goes way out of range - it will shut off things like the EHPS, cooling fan, brake vacuum pump (you had brakes, just no assist) and certain other things to ensure the engine can keep running for a safe distance so you can pull over INSTANTLY - not later, but NOW.
It will do this for out of range voltages.
What causes this situation?
A common cause is a loose battery terminal. This can cause high - or low voltages in the system.
If there's a poor connection at a battery terminal, it's reading across a resistance, a voltage drop is seen, and it assumes low voltage and tries to compensate.
My gut says this could be as simple as needing to check all battery connections - aux battery and main/crank battery. Don't just look! You can't tell by looking. Grab that terminal and pull and push hard, or better yet - remove all connections, clean, and reinstall making sure things go back on tightly.
Also while the hood is open, release the two latches on the fuse panel cover, remove the cover and make sure all fuses are pressed in FIRMLY - push them in hard, all of them, one at a time if necessary.
Since this "went away on its own" - that's further suggesting a transient connection issue - possibly loose battery terminal, fuse, whatever.

If you like the Jeep - if it was me, I'd try a bit more, but if you are done, you are done - go to your own STATE's AG web site and learn the lemon laws for YOUR state. (NEW YORK)
I don't give up easily and like to push to make people make things right.......... but it's not me, it's YOU this time around.
I completely understand what you’re saying. I don’t think I’m going to give up on it quite yet. As to everything you suggested, I’ve gone through all of that. I have tested and taken apart and put back together all of that stuff. All my fuses are seated properly in the terminals are, nice and snug. I just don’t understand what happened. At that given point in time, the only issue I had was the O2 sensor going bad. It was fixed two or three days later. And when it shut off the first time I didn’t even get a notice or warning. Everything just went blank , I’ll be sure to keep everyone posted. I go in tomorrow morning to get the leather seat replaced because the driver seat came with leather that look like it was beat too shit. There’s much more to this whole situation than what I’ve explained. With all of the years that they’ve made on their part, they should be much more proactive. When I go into the dealership with an O2 sensor to get replaced, and let them know that the vehicle shut off while going 70 miles an hour with my two-year-old in the backseat, they probably shouldn’t have let me leave in my car. That’s on me as well. But five service advisors are sitting there, listening to me all the story and they just let it go in one ear and out the other.

You accepted a vehicle with the CEL on??? That's something you do with a $1000 used car when you're willing to take your chances, not a new or even close to new vehicle.
Oh, I’m well aware that there “fueling while engine was running” for engine lights was a stupid response. I’m just saying that it makes them equally as stupid for letting me take delivery of the jeep.

Their whole purpose is to get you to sign the papers and take the keys. It then makes any issues your problem. Unless it is a blatant issue you can come back and sue them over, they are not going to stop you from taking delivery.

They immediately said that it was the drivers fault for filling the vehicle up while it was running
Guess I'll never have that problem............ having worked in a business that had a gas station, engine off first, always. They'll never accuse me of that.

Me either. My Dad donated skin to a guy who worked at a gas stationed who filled up a car that was running and it/he caught on fire. His whole body needed skin grafts. The small town I lived in came together and a lot of people donated. He didn't survive.

I did it one time though. On the way to dealer I just purchases my 2013 JK Rubicon the night before with my trade-in, 1999 TJ Sahara. For some odd, crazy reason when I started my journey to the dealer my TJ just didn't want to crank. Never had that issue before. Maybe it was mad I was trading it in, IDK. I stopped at a gas station to put in enough fuel to get me to the dealer. I left it running on the fear it might not crank again. That was my only time.

So I brought her in today and I got a new seat cover for driver seat. Warranty covered it. Everybody at the shop. Tried to tell me it was normal but I’m glad it was changed out because it looks great right now. This was something I had brought up in the beginning of the og post.
With that said,… I will be getting a loaner vehicle once he gets one in and they will be going over the vehicle. The service manager and the shop foreman are the only ones to touch the vehicle apparently. I’m sure that’s not 100% accurate, but I’m sure they know that after six visits in six months, it needs to be addressed correctly this time around. I am not quite ready to throw in the white towel yet. I just hope that when they do take it, they find the issues and I go on my merry way. Perhaps move on with a Perhaps move on with a vehicle that doesn’t go into the shop at all for quite some time, do some oil changes and tire rotations and perhaps witness and experience my gas mileage in double digits. I’ll be sure to keep everybody posted.

Sorry I’m coming into this thread late and hoping the dealer will fix the mechanical issues going on. @BAULSAUL I was looking at the previous seat pics you posted and I have a similar issue going on with my driver leather seat…only 4k miles in and feel like the leather is just loosened up on the drivers side seat quite a bit, same look as what you posted before. I noticed it happening around 1 or 2k miles in and I’m guessing that’s not normal if they replaced yours already. I do have seat heaters and thought maybe they’d say that’s normal. Guess I should call my local dealership to have them check it out and again hope they get to the root of the mechanical nonsense you’ve had to deal with!

Just an update ,…

jeep is finally going into the dealer today. This is the 5th and I hope final time in the service department. If you read my original post, what would you guys suggest that I have them look at? I know it’s a dealership, but it seems as if most of you guys know more than they do. The service foreman and the service manager are working on the Jeep and nobody else. They will be going over everything. I’m sure they won’t, and that’s why I’d like to suggest to them certain areas to look at (based on what some of you have gone through). One thing I noticed this last week, my gas mileage has slowly increased, but still not good gas mileage. It went from 7.5mpg too 10.5mpg. The engine hasn’t been as choppy, but it is also been a little warmer for a couple days. It’s supposed to drop down to freezing again tonight and tomorrow. I just want a normal vehicle again.

This SHOULD NOT apply to a 2023 model, and it's normally only hot restarts, but make sure the CCDIFF has readings, that it's learned the cam/crank relationship. Again, I thought this was only 2022 model year and only on hot restarts, but heck, it should be really simple for them to look - even just have them force a relearn???

Check right/passenger side (US vehicles), odd numbered bank, for valve cover leak. A VC leak can get to the O2 sensor and mess things up.
And if it's leaking, check to see if the bulletin for a replacement valve cover applies to your 2023 model year. There's a bulletin telling dealer shops that if they replace just the gasket on certain build dates, it may continue to leak - there's a modified valve cover to address the issue. That's of course IF it's leaking at all. Just tossing that out there since a bit of oil on the O2 sensor connector will throw it into a tizzy getting bad readings and trying to adjust the mixture according to those bad readings.

A proper freeze frame, as AlfaOBD can typically capture, often will tell if a misfire is ignition or otherwise.

It’s been a little while, so I wanted to update everybody. My Rubicon finally went into the shop a couple weeks back. I went over every single issue that I had. I’m sure if you’ve read the post or look at my post, you’ll have a better understanding. I take it in and it’s there for a few days and I didn’t hear anything. I have a dash camera that has live feed which also gives me cloud storage. You can call me an asshole, but I couldn’t help but to at least check to see if they did anything. All I did was click on three videos, and I had enough information to justify me going to pick my vehicle up and never returning there again. Not only did they make fun of my family and continuously say there’s nothing wrong with my vehicle, they made comments about my daughter and her being “ of age.” “ is she at least 17?” Stuff that no father would ever want to hear. I really don’t give a shit what the law states at this point. in regards to being filmed. But when you have a camera, the size of softball in your face, you are a moron if you think you are not being recorded

. I obviously brought this to the attention of the folks I was working with. I didn’t hear anything for the last 10 days. Today I sent a picture of some mail I received from Mopar. I let the upper management people know that since nothing is wrong with my vehicle, they should go ahead and purchase a warranty so I don’t have to worry about anything down the line. 30 minutes later, I received an email and they purchased a 6 year/75,000 mile, MAX warranty. Obviously I’m very happy they did this. I am very surprised they didn’t have me sign a gag order. Anyways, the Jeep has been running OK and I have disconnected the auxiliary battery. I pulled fuse 42 and separated the negative terminal. I know there are better options out there but this is what I did for now. I hope it continues to ride. OK. My gas mileage is still pretty shitty. We’ll see what happens. I thought I’d give everybody an update.

I'd be awfully tempted to post some of the video - and bleep out the personal parts you don't want anyone to hear because they are just so totally wrong to be said about any young woman................

As far as "gas mileage"........... that's a whole other issue since the Rubicon wasn't equipped for ideal mpg to begin with and certain changes will only lower that.

Sorry you had to hear that, but anybody that has worked in a blue collar work shop environment, will tell you that kind of talk happens day in and day out. Lewd, rough, sexist and politically incorrect talk is the norm. Everybody talks shit about everything. You just had a fly on the wall access to it.

That is one of the reasons dealerships went to a service advisor model because they want that buffer between the customer and shop mechanics not mixing.

If those guys are good mechanics, the worst that is going to happen to them is that management will tell them to watch out better for cameras next time.

I guess I've been lucky, then - didn't really put up with it that badly. Swear words when a finger got smashed, that sort of thing, but never once did any employee of any shop I worked in say anything negative about a customer, or comment on the females involved.
Now college - good grief, one guy actually sat in front of the shop building making comments loud enough for the young women walking through the parking lot to hear. We tried to tell him - this is why they walk on THAT side of the campus and not any closer, but it didn't phase him.
If you want the women to walk past closer - well, gotta make at least sound like you are civilized.
Other than that, our class really didn't put up with crappy behavior - pretty much self-policing other than the stuff Gary said.
John - the women flocked around that guy and we all tried to figure out what it was he was saying or not saying.

Walking through the auto factories, there's a whole other story. The management tried to have them tone it down in one case, didn't matter, it was a hot humid day and they were not happy campers. Dad was a UAW member in a factory and would attest to the talk and actions on the workplace - he never brought it in the house.

That is the same at my work. I game up from the shop floor blue collar but when I got into the engineering side, it was a different environment. I work as a liaison engineer supporting manufacturing and am around the Union shop guys day in a day out. When I have to bring any type of female from engineering on the aircraft being built and if she is of any reasonable attractiveness, I have to walk on the aircraft 10 minutes ahead and give all the shop guys a warning of the female engineer I am bringing on so they can tone it down. They will still eye rape her though.

BAULSAUL situation happens a bazillion times a day, just he had video on it this time from guys who thought they were not facing the public. Everyone of us has a public face and a private face we present. Sometimes the private face is not meant for general public consumption.
