I read lots of threads and saw some potentially discouraging post about switching from a hard top to soft top. I just changed out my top and put on the premium twill soft tops. I was happy to experience only positives so far.

Road noise wasn't much different than my hard top, gas mileage went up from mid 15's to low 16's - not sure why that would happen. I love the convenience of dropping it back and having instant open air.

One thing to note is I have the Fab Fours Bed Rack and that makes the lines flow better when the top is back. I never liked the look of the soft top back on an open bed but with the rack it looks great and you don't get the man bun feeling lol.

Yes, I agree, the premium soft top is great. I have had mine on for over one year and we still have no plans or desire to put the hard top back on. I live on the west coast, so, the weather does not necessitate a hard top at all.

Regular soft top on mine. It's quieter, warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than the hardtop JK I had before. Popping the back window out is a 3 minute operation. Convenience factor is off the charts.
