I have been following this thread for a while but haven't really commented much. Trying to not get my hopes up to get my Gladiator soon but I am beyond excited today. Ordered my Rubicon 3.6 on 10/29. Was in D1 for a long time with what seemed like no movement. Been hitting up Jeep Chat over and over with no updates. My dealer informed me today that my Gladiator is in "I" status so it is built and waiting for inspection! My estimated ship date was 10/6 so it might just make that date! Yay!

From a guy that works in engineering and has high exposure to daily manufacturing activities, and has taken various tours of factories (my favorite tour, BMW 3-series production in Germany) believe me when I say it's a surprisingly complex activity to manage your supply chain to ensure your line doesn't go down (and simultaneously that you don't have a huge backlog of inventory sitting on the shelf). I'm just surprised that automobile prices haven't gone up 20% in the last year. So that in itself I'm thankful for.

Today it's even more of a hellacious job to deal with the increased delays and inability to predict when materials will show up on the receiving dock. When materials are late, you must quickly adjust to build something else that you do have materials for, even though they weren't scheduled yet. So you get in 10 widgets instead of 30 widgets. So 20 people get screwed and 20 people get a bump. So the schedule for those 40 people get jounced around and it's a good thing if you look at it from a high level.

It could be bedliner, slush mats, bluetooth speakers, or more likely a combination of an infinite number of other components that we have no insight to. I think it's a waste of time to try to decide what single component is screwing your build. Because it's surely a whole suite of highly complex and interrelated dependencies, the web of which you and I will never have real insight into.

So, buy yourself a bag of popcorn, grab a hot cocoa, and be happy for a MY22 vehicle arriving in 2022 (that shouldn't sound crazy!). And be happy that the factory bosses can quickly react on the fly to this crazy supply chain world we find ourselves in to keep manufacturing costs low and our vehicle prices surprisingly stable.

Did anyone who has there truck shipping or building order the bluetooth speaker? I have a hunch... thats why mine isn't being built but I could be wrong.
I have the Bluetooth speaker and mine went into shipped status yesterday.

Add your build to the tracker! :)

Man.... I wonder what I did to have my build moved! Jeep just doesn't like me lol
My build:

Sarge Green Mojave
6-speed manual
Premium soft top
Color matched fenders
Gorilla glass
Steal gray leather
Cold weather group
LED lighting group
Bluetooth speaker
Auxiliary switches
Slush mats
Soft top window storage bag

I actually anticipated a delayed build due to the slush mats and Gorilla Glass, as I thought the suppliers were backlogged, and I know at one point manual transmissions were delayed but I believe that could have been from a recall at the time. I haven't heard of any delays due to the speaker, but that doesn't mean one's never existed.

I spec’d the Bluetooth Speaker. That would be a bummer if the speaker is the hold up. I’d take a voucher to receive the speaker at a later date if it would keep the build moving forward.

I just got my build sheet!!!

But, I noticed that the tires were Falkens... I thought the "stock" tires were still BFGs (at least on the JL they were). I'm swapping mine out anyway, but curious about that.

Mine says BSW tires. I stuck with the A/Ts, but I don't know what BSW means, and Google isn't really helping much.

BSW = Black Side Wall
Oh, ha well other than that it just mentions their size and rating, and that they're A/T.
