Well that's the buzz kill of all buzz kills. Just got a call from Chapman. When they were getting my Jeep prepped for me to pick it up at 5:30, the check engine light was on and apparently there's an issue with the fuel pump from the factory. They are ordering the part, but it's on a 2 week back order...So no Jeep for me.

Really a bummer. I already had Line-X scheduled for tomorrow, and have a ton of stuff I was going to use the truck for to help my parents who are moving. Was really looking forward to doing it over the holidays when I had some time off...looks like now I'll be doing it in stages in January now.

Not their fault - but man really crappy way to start the holiday.

Oh man sorry to hear that :( at least they handled it before the jeep could have left you on side of road.

That sucks, but it's better than taking it home for that issue to pop up the next day, which then you might have had to wait for an open service appointment and still wait on the backordered part!

115 miles on the clock and my Gorilla Glass took something that was airborne. Is this a new forum record, especially for GG?

I'm pretty pissed.

Any luck on GG replacement ?

Nah, I'm going to hold off just a bit before I do. For some stupid reason I feel guilty making a claim so soon after adding it to my policy.

Alright, I'm looking to learn from others before mine goes. Hoping we all have no issues getting factory gg replacement under insurance without a fight.

Like others have said, at least they found it in the PDI. See if they can get you any details on what the faults where. Like not vague

Looks like it might be covered under warranty. Can’t hurt and try.

Yeah I'm curious if it does. The initial chip was about 1 inch wide, but within 30 seconds it started to spread and by 5 minutes it had spread to be about 10 inches wide.

It does say road debris is covered, just not "large" debris. I would at least try!

I feel your pain. Ordered 10/12 and received a new ship date of 1/22 after moving back into D1.

It’s very specific that it has to be larger then a 1/4” and smaller then an 1”. Nothing smaller is covered that is not sealed and becomes a crack due to it. Only larger road debris. So if it’s only a tiny 1/8” chip, it’s not covered, and if that chip cracks because you didn’t seal it, it’s not covered

It’s definitely gonna depend on how the dealer wants to help you out 100% in this case
