It's time once again to play "Name that part!" I found this 8" S-hook hanging from a bracket above the rear exhaust close to the bumper. It was rubbing against the rear exhaust can/muffler. I didn't see where it could possibly attach. If someone could peek under their Jeep and see if anything looks similar near the rear of the exhaust, I'd be grateful.

I recently had the rear axle replaced so it's possible it was just a hanger they used during the install, but I don't know.

Maybe ask for pics on this thread? I still think it looks like an exhaust hanger, sans the bushings. Would have posted that the other day but I assumed someone more knowledgeable would come by.

A quick peek on the exhaust side of my JTR doesn't have that, the exhaust hanger is bigger, rounder, and weldeder. ;)

Mines more weldeder too. I'll ask about it next time I take it in for an oil change. Still guessing just something they left from swapping the axle.
