Hi. I’m relatively new to this board so hopefully I’m posting in the right place.
I just purchased a 2021 Mojave and I’m looking to go to a 35” tire on a 17 X 9 1/2 inch rim.
im not looking to do any additional lift kit. I just want the tire a little wider than the stock 33” And a little taller.
Does this size accomplish what I’m looking for ?
Also any rim recommendations are greatly appreciated. I’m looking for an all black rim that resembles the beaded rim you get with the new Recon addon or something like the black rhino Arsenal. I appreciate any help.
for tired I’ll purchase the Falken M/t
thanks in advance !

Although not the beadlock look…..I went with these from Quadratec:

I have 35x12.5r17 Toyo AT3’s.

For the price, any Trail damage won’t hurt (as much) and I dig the look.

Good luck on your search!

9.5 is too wide IMO.

Id recommend these:

17x9

I ran them on my JK. Liked them a lot.

To open your options a little, you don't need a 9.5" wide wheel to roll on 35's.

So you can go with an 8" wide wheel.

If you can find the tire you like in 315/70R17 you can run a 7" wide wheel.

The Warn Moonsault might get you the look you want, with a 0 offset will get you a wider stance, but not look too extreme in my opinion. It's somewhat close to the Recon package you refer too although obviously not a 100% match.

I have the Black Rhino Armory. They look cool. However.....
1. Heavy. 40 pounds each. Website says 35 pounds...in box weight is 49 pounds.
2. Fading of the paint less than one year in. To me they skimped on the paint.
3. Chewed up after a season of wheeling.
4. Center cap is plastic. Will end up cracked or broken.....

Probably would not buy them again.

Welcome to the forum!

I too am a big fan of Quadratec’s line of wheels, designed to retain the factory look, with Jeep bolt pattern and offset to clear 12.5-wide tires. They are very well made, lightweight (25-27 lbs each), and offer excellent bang for your buck.

Currently I have their 17x8.5” CJ Retro Alloys in white, with custom made hub decals. They resemble Jeep wheels of the 1970s and get compliments from total strangers.

What 315/70r17 can you run on a 7” wide rim?

I went with 9" wide rims it opened up the tread on the tires but made it look smaller in diameter with less side wall bulge
