Lifetime Powertrain Warranties are oftentimes initiated when dealers are having a hard time moving inventory. They are a really good deal if you can get one. My buddy got a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty back in 2014 on a new Ram 1500 and he still uses it today. The only caveat is that there's a point where the repairs will exceed the value of the truck, and that's when warranty will cease.

Fun fact - I was told by a CDJR dealer here in the NoVA area - that they would not sell me a new Challenger 392 wide body - unless I financed it - they said they have a policy on not dealing with Cash/Check - due to "Fraud Reasons" - i won't name/call out the dealer - but i've had nothing but shit experiences with CDJR dealers in the NoVA area. The best CDJR dealer imo is in Culpeper - they give you a straight up OTD price with no haggles and no b.s. I am just pissed at Mopar for holding my warranty money hostage.
NoVA? Is that northern VA? Have you got any experience with Koons? I've been tempted to buy from them.

If I was going to go for another brand truck, it would be a Nissan. I've owned several Frontiers and the last one was a Pro 4X and that thing could offroad like a beast. I would entertain a Titan if I was towing big stuff.
