Jeep could simply add the 2.5" lift/suspension to every Rubicon, add the 35"/37" option as well and put the trail cam on there as well, They will never have any sitting on a lot very long. Look the new Bison Colorado, ventilated seats, cameras everywhere, big tires big suspension. The solution is easy, dump the entry level boring Gladiators.
Dumping "the entry level" would be dumping quite the percentage of the sales. That go's especially for the ones who are planning on doing major modifications or other activities. A reason for basic models in some areas is of concern for taxes even tag fees. That was a big deal when I bought my 05 Wrangler Unlimited. The difference was substantial enough that I could install all of the Rubicon model parts for less than what the tag fees (property tax on vehicle) would have been in 5 to 7 years. Of course that was where I did live, property tax on a 2 bedroom house had jumped to around 3k year for a house I bought for $43,000 in 1999. Somehow in 8 years the house doubled in value from a 40-50 k house to 75-86 k house. I was paying as much for property taxes a year as I was paying on the mortgage. I knew someone who bought a GMC Avalanche, the added the Cadillac version parts for quite a savings and had options that was unavailable for the Cadillac one.

If that is the case why are the not selling? Why are lots filled with them? Interest rates are a factor but Ford and GM are building exciting vehicles that are more appealing to the market. I have seen maybe 1 or 2 base model Broncos on the road last few years, most are the factory upgraded, more exciting models, see them all the time and you can hardly even order one from a dealer. The competition has figured it out, Jeep should too.
They sure aren't sitting around here. You are judging based on what you see on a lot - not having any idea how many they sell in a week to be replaced by new ones? Do you go to that lot every week and inventory what they have to be sure they are the same ones that were there last month? Here, they turn them over pretty well.

17 pages of this and it's all the same speculation and guess-work, armchair management over and over - mostly wrong.

Come on - rehashing the electric bits already covered here and elsewhere?

Yeah, I trust my 4xe anywhere - and..........

Jeep Gladiator Is the Gladiator at risk for cancellation? Screenshot 2024-02-11 144618

Might go back and re-read this thread post by post and all of the similar threads where this stuff keeps getting dragged into the conversation - it was about Gladiators, not EVs, and it's all been said.

They aren't selling. That comes directly from Jeep, not my speculation.

And I've also posted where pickups in general are not longer ruling the top of the best selling list. It's a thing out there.

The simple answer for many people is gasoline is how much a gallon, D.F. is what a gallon... F### that I'm getting something that doesn't cost me as much money to drive. So less trucks are selling, as of a few days ago in CA. biodiesel fuel cost over $7. a gallon straight diesel fuel wasn't a option there. Many people are cutting back on luxury vehicle to needed vehicle, brand of vehicle. Now many of the people on here know what they want and may not care as much about the fuel economy/ cost as much. I'm sure a high percentage of members here are in 40s if not 50s and older. We are set in our ways, and know we only have just so much more time so live it and enjoy it. ?

Wonder if Jeep is actually going to come out with the 4xE Gladiator in 2025. I think 2024 sales will be really slow. Highest priced mid-size truck with the worst/weakest engine offering. They really need to ditch the Pentacrap.

Bronco isn't doing that well, especially for a brand new platform. November 2023 sales down 68!!!! % from 2022.
Everything has become grossly overpriced. You can barely sniff any of those Broncos for under $50k before tt&l, and when you get into the optioned out models the prices become absurd. All of these manufacturers greeded out and raised prices way too high.

Even my Rubicon Gladiator at nearly 30% off seemed overpriced to me. I think all of these carmakers have a real problem going forward, no matter the model. While I am not a fan of EVs - they would not fit my lifestyle - Tesla has been cutting the msrp on their vehicles. I think that's what has to happen.

Everything is at risk of cancelation. The most populous states have passed bills calling for an end to ice sales within the next 10 years. Do any of you believe they'll continue to manufacture vehicles that they can't sell to the majority of Americans? If they do, do you think for a second they won't quadruple the price for the niche market? I'll take an EV Jeep over a $200k JT or JL if it comes to that.

There is a crash coming. It's going to be between what the government mandates and what the general public wants to buy. The manufacturer's are stuck in the middle. It's already started. No matter how hard they push EV's. They are only a niche market right now. It's going to take years for them to catch on. People seen what happens to the EV batteries in the cold. That scared a lot of people. And who wants a disposable car when the battery needs replaced. The resale value on a 5 year old EV is about 47%.

Interesting take. I happen to like it. I find it has plenty of power for my tastes. I really enjoy driving it. In fact, it may be my favorite vehicle I've ever driven insofar as fun and comfort goes.

lets not forget the infrastructure is not there to support EVs like gas powered. They need to figure that out well before they remove gas. If it comes to that, that is.

Insurance companies are charging higher rates for EV's now. The cost to repair is a lot higher. You run something over and damage the battery pack. That has to be replaced. Hertz has canceled they order with Tesla and Polestar because of the repair costs and insurance. Plus they are selling 60,000 Tesla s from their fleet. Replacing them with ICE vehicles.

Parking garages are starting to ban EV's because of the fire hazard they represent.

47% @ 5 years is pretty normal. My Gladiator is likely down to 65% in 2 years.

The cold stuff is just FUD. Norway is fine with EVs in the cold. The so called "ChiCaGo" stories were BS and blown way out of proportion.

The government mandated LED lighting for the home. I hate it. I want my incandescents back.
