Anyone already bought out of state that lives in California?

Following. Haven’t really started yet. Hard enough to find a dealership that didn’t want 10% deposit.

I ordered a Rubicon 2-3 weeks ago from Putnum Jeep in the Bay Area. We agreed on 2.5% below invoice, before destination, TT&L fees. Deposit was 5% which was more than I expected to pay but I was ok with it given the difficulty in negotiating below invoice in Cali these days

I went with Kent in Idaho as well. I looked at prices in the central valley and most were advertising too much in markup, so I didn't even bother negotiating locally. Deposit with Peterson's was $1k, and price was right where I expected, thanks to this forum.

Definitely read the Idaho thread...

Another happy Kent customer.

Good luck and I hope you get a good deal in CA. But when I see $50K JT Sport on the lot you know it’s going to be the typical dealer multi-hour wear you down salesman bullish!t pricing game with their manager.

Dealerships need to grow up and quit playing games. Many of us don’t have the patience or the time for that...

My experience: emailed Kent with my options...he replied with a price -7% of invoice...ordered from Kent...10 weeks later it arrived...no games with the paperwork and final price...drove it home over a long weekend. Done.

I’m going to give a relatively close dealership the option to match or no deal. No negotiations, no games. I hate that kind of stuff. With today’s online access and purchasing power I don’t see why dealerships do what they do.

I got 8% off MSRP last month from South County Jeep in Gilroy on a loaded Overland they had on the lot. Ask for Bryan.

Sorry coming in late here. Jstar CDJR in Anaheim is doing less than invoice with tread lightly. I can connect you with management to work with them. I have one on order and shipping soon.

Any dealers at 7% under invoice near San Diego? If not I guess I'll be driving to Idaho.
