Ordered the 3.5 Overland plus last night. Received FedEx tracking info this afternoon. ETA 25th.
Can't wait to install it. But just as soon as I ordered it I found out ill probably have to stay a few extra weeks or more offshore. Just my luck. LOL

Offshore on what? Oil rig or something?

Yes they were super quick turnaround for me. Another poster said one of the other mfg is currently 2 months wait. Presume that's because made overseas. I know Clayton makes a lot in house.

I'm a boat captain out in the oil field.

Yea I've ran Metalcloak in the past and was wanting their kit I thought but I wasn't impressed in their overall height. Nothing but good things to say about MC just didn't like the stance of the Gamechanger.
Been reading up on Clayton for a while trying to find something as good or better than MC. Think this may be it.

I do wish @Claytonoffroad would offer a tie rod and drag link option though.

So some kits I have seen people complain that their 2" lift is more like 1.5". Or a 2.5" is more like 2".

This 2.5" gave me 3.5-4". With settling in, with adding in a bed rack and rock rails and bumper I have no doubt it will end as a true 2.5" or even more. I am 6'2" and the bed is at my sternum. The running boards are in the middle of the door of an X5 I parked next to.

My mechanic did ask 'wow what size lift is that anyways' when he saw the springs, 'those are huge!'

I went through both sections that always gave me trouble before, the Caldecot Tunnel west bound and 92W in San Mateo. The tunnel was great, never got into a bouncing rhythm where it felt like I had to break to control the truck. Soaked it up and rebounded quick enough to never have any issues.

On 92W which is a longer stretch of basically small woops it did rhythm with it but it was in far more control than stock.

WAY firmer ride and not at all soft. Very happy.

35" Ridge Grapplers going on next week will complete the ride and look. For now, skipping leg day.

I will show side by side measurements I took at the bumpers and wheel wells. Gimme a min to compile it.

That’s fantastic to hear. My truck is at the shop having the overland 2.5” installed and I forgot to take before measurements after I replaced my fenders.

I know the photo angles are off a little bit between some of the shots esp the rear bumper. But this thing is a big lift.

Rear bumper. From ~ 23 to ~ 26.75. +3.75"

I had to ask Clayton to double check they didn't accidentally send me the 3.5" lift. They said no, as designed to accommodate settling and heavy add ons and still get the full lift.

How long has it been since you put the kit on? I can't imagine it'll be settled for at least a couple of weeks.

12 hours, lol.

I will come back in a month or two after some long road trips we have planned and check in on the height, but there will be new tires so Ill have to get new shots.

Please do! It’ll be interesting to see where it ends up.

how important are the track bars in a kit?

at what point do they become crucial? 2"? 2.5"?

I'm glad you got the lift you wanted, but I just want to make sure people are aware that EVO does offer kits that include the front, or both front & rear track bars in them... The Enforcer 2.5" Stage 2 Plus (the kit i have) includes both F&R track bars and is ~$1,600 price range. It does not, however, include any shocks.

I just want to make sure other people reading this thread in the future are aware of this information.

You need at least 1 set of front track bars to adjust the caster. It's already a pretty steep angle from the factory I believe. Any lifting will pull it backwards increasing it even more.
I am not a mechanic, but I think you just described the control arms while track bars keep things centered.

I will go by what my mechanic tells me since he knows WAY more than I do (and maybe anyone around here) and he says you gotta have the trackbars F/R and one set of control arms up front minimum. That's what this kit is.
