Thanks! People tend to either love it or hate it. Actually had a guy pull up next to me doing 75 down the tollway about two weeks ago. Honked, pointed, and gave me a thumbs up! That does NOT happen with any other color!

The salesperson probably had a end-of-month target they wanted to hit. Your power with the dealer comes from two places: your ability to say no and walk away, and their need to hit monthly and yearly targets. Meaning, at certain times they're willing to accept slightly less profit on an individual truck if it means harvesting incentives somewhere else. Sounds like you used both to your advantage.

I have a meeting with one of my bigger tax clients today and should be at the dealer to do paperwork at 1PM. Not sure when I get to take it home though, it didn’t have a spray in bed liner stock so they’re adding that. I guess I’m at the bed liner place’s mercy on that one.

Im also replacing the stock “street” tires with KO2s but not sure if I’ll have them do it or me do it after the fact. Kinda leaning toward having it done myself to ensure it’s my name on the ticket and I get my free rotate and balance.

I wanted the soft top and that was harder to procure around here than I thought it would be. My Rubicon is a soft top and I like the top down fairly often.

Guess I’m just excited and impatient at this point.

Any dealer that is intentionally misleading about the OTD price and does add-ons at those kinds of markups can shove it. I wouldn't feel bad about wasting their time but I also have zero desire to give those places any kind of business.

Couple weekends ago, I had a guy in a Panamera a couple cars back one lane over yell at me until I turned my radio down (doors were off) so he could ask how much I paid. Gave me the impression he and his boys were going to hit a jeep dealership. Have a feeling he was disappointed to find out you can't get a Gecko.
