I’ve received a couple of e-mails, as well as a HUGE banner in the My Jeep app, alerting me to the new Jeep app for owners.
All fine and dandy, but, according to the banner, an Active Services subscription is required. I have the 7” radio, so no active services.
Also, I tried the new app anyway, but it doesn’t work: it errors out when I try to add my VIN.
Anyone else have any experiences with this new app?

I'm not sure what app you're referring to. I have the UConnect app which has both my Gladiator and Wrangler on it. When I bought the ol'e lady her Wagoneer, I had to download a specific Wagoneer app. On that app, all three of my Jeeps show up there.

I have zero issues w/ the UConnect App. I can lock, unlock, remote start and look at the health report along with any recalls. I can do the same w/ the Wagoneer app for all three vehicles.

I’m getting a similar result when entering the VIN. I’ve tried to enter the VIN maybe six times and each case it tells me the VIN is invalid.

Query for those who get error with VIN - did you use all caps? Some of Jeeps stuff won't take a j but will take a J just for example.

I ran into that while trying to track a Jeep order - I had to use caps lock when typing in the VIN. It said the VIN wasn't found if I used any lower case.

Just wondering...............

Yeah I didn’t have to enter any sort of vin, I just logged into my account on the new app. All my info was already transferred automatically.

Yes, I’m entering the last 8 characters of the VIN. The app automatically locks the caps.

For those of you for which the app works, do you have the 8.4” radio and the Active (connected) Services?

I loaded/updated last night and it locked up every time I tried to set my dealer.

Other than that it was fine?

I do have 8.4” and all my other info seemed to have transferred.

Yes, I do have those with mine. That could be a factor here.

Wouldn't work for my Sport S either. First, I manually entered the VIN and then tried to scan the barcode - neither worked...

I found it funny that it wasn't an update to the old app but a whole new app. I have both on my phone now.
