Retired for now!
Notice a funny sound like water bubbling when the Gladiator was driving down the road after it rained. Noticed today that my windshield is coming out of the frame on the top driver's side! Possibly related? Going to dealer tomorrow to get my first oil change and have them look into this. Anyone else have a problem like this? Pics not the best but you will get the idea! Thanks!

Yeah. That’s a new one for me, but I’d definitely get that fixed under warranty. And I’d make sure the frame isn’t bent from the factory.

Thanks Dan. I will mention to them about checking the frame as well for being bent. And I haven't even had the freedom panels off yet! I did not have a problem with my other 2 Gladiators so this is new to me as well. I wonder if they changed the design due to the integrated radio antenna?

I wonder as well. I’d guess either the glass just wasn’t installed well and it’ll be a simple fix, or the frame isn’t true and it’s slowing pulling out as a result. Probably the easy adhesion problem though. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks, and appreciate the crossed fingers! I would too but my fingers are a little sore due to all the rain here in Tennessee lately and the arthritis stuff! The wet weather does actually affect us old dudes...LOL!

It’s not coming out of the frame. It’s the big blob of excess Urethane that was applied that’s keeping it from fitting flush. They will need to remove the windshield, clean out the urethane, and replace. May be a backlog on availability of the new glass!

The existing glass can’t be cleaned and reinstalled? I ask genuinely, having never personally replaced a windshield.

Here is the robot and two women that screwed up your windshield install.

I bet the robot was not set up or adjusted correctly to make sure the windshield was installed correctly. Funny thing though, this just started recently and I am wondering if somehow the windshield has moved since I have had it? You would think not, but the noise from the front of the windshield that I could not isolate, has just started about a week ago and when it rains, the sound gets worse. Hmmmm..... Thanks Don for the video!

Thanks Jay. I hope that they can use the same windshield and make it right!

Thanks for the video! I’ve worked in Manufacturing for 20 years as a Machine Operator and all I see….is all those robots & machinery right down to the handheld units - the amount of time/effort/skill it takes to keep all that machinery running smoothly… maintenance, calibration, repairs.
Their Mechanic staff must be HUGE!!!

For my money and peace of mind, I would take it to a local mom and pop shop that's been doing this for many years and have him refit it....
How many window resets do you think the dealer's tech has performed?

Just a couple of cents....

I work in industrial automation and have been in hundreds of factories. Maintenance is almost always understaffed.
