Are those DOT approved?
A bit rough, aren’t they?

Kevin
Since some of the OP's pics show what look like mold marks and they're 14 gauge steel, yup they look RUFF. No mention of DOT approval. I do like the minimalist look, but those philips head screws HAVE to go.

From the website:

14 gauge Steel LED Tail lights, Powder Coated Black $225.00 Pair

Bare Metal. $200.00 Pair

We currently don't offer Color Match Tail Lights due to the problem of getting Powder Coat in these factory colors. Ordering the Bare metal ones and sourcing your local body shop or Powder Coater is the best way to get them matched.

These Steel Tail Lights do not extend past the body lines like the stock units that are proned to being destroyed when doing serious off roading.
These come with LED resisters wired in and Scotch Lock Connectors and heat shrink tubing. The tail lights have a center backup light and surrounding turn, tail, & brake light. The side marker light is inset with a red lense. We currently don't have option for sensors yet but we are working on that and hope to have those available soon. They bolt thru the existing mounting holes and new bolts are included.
Shipping is a flat rate of $22.00 anywhere in the continental US.

Now I know what those holes are, and they are holes.

OP, I'd send those back and demand a replacement. The holes seen THROUGH your paint or powder coat are where the outer lip was welded to the base with the lights. That is unacceptable for the price paid. They burned through and did nothing to repair it.

I take it you bought the bare steel version and the paint job is yours? Aside from that, the exposed hardware could use some better style fasteners and blackened to make it look more finished.

It doesn’t bear directly on the quality of the product, but the presence of myriad grammatical and spelling errors on their website is a distraction, at the very least.

Here they are! Install was pretty easy, ask me if you have any questions. Overall I'm happy with them but if you're a perfectionist I wouldn't recommend these to you. They have a "Home made" fit and finish. They're perfectly functional but uhhhh....well just check out the pictures lol

Like the trials bike. The lights look a little…. Cheap. Good concept to build on though

I get that from a “rough draft” standpoint, but I can’t imagine someone selling that and not posting high resolution pictures to indicate just how “home built” they appear.
