I replaced mine. Used the old spare to reacquaint myself with tire plugs and such. Kinda fun stabbing a tire and then fixing it. I’ve acquired a few tire repair kits over the years so have a plethora of tire repair stuff. I DONT have Glue Tread sheets though. May have to remedy that soon.Thanks for the info, guys, I appreciate it.
I think I'll have to stop and get some sidewalk chalk and give that a try. I've never done that before, believe it or not. We don't have kids so I have no chalk lying about.... I could wait until a kid in the neighborhood starts chalking the sidewalk and go steal a stick....no wait, scratch that....lol
Like most people, I never really give my spare a thought until needed. When my Jeeps had an external spare on the back, it's real easy to keep an eye on it; it's in your face. My truck still has the factory Bridgestone 245/75/17 spare on it. I may drop and pull it and go get a matching tire. Technically, they're both about the same height, the 245 is just narrower.
